So i see threads all the time about other music genres, and whether you like them or not. Well heres one about Techno/Trance/Dance. I am a huge fan of Trance, when i get on youtube.com i listen to this stuff all day. I download it by the Gigabyte in Utorent.
Here are some of my faves:
Flutlicht: The Fall ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbl-I9gXiXs )
Dj Roland Kenzo: Listen Feel Enjoy ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhtGK9FmkSs )
Dj Darkzone: Ultimate Trip
Robert Gitleman Vs. The Martiness Brothers: Electrified
Golden Boy With Miss Kittin: Rippin Kitten ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWL1QOXAcgM )
If some of yall want a good collection of some random bad ace trance and techno, check this link out:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOAKC...eature=related
What are some of yalls faves of this genre? If you even like it.
Ohh by the way link up the page if you want...I wanna hear your faves too.
i listen to techno and dance...i dont know anything about trance though, and really its kinda hard for me to differentiate between techno and dance considering they both make me dance lol
I love all three with a raging passion. My favorite is Techno. I don't think I can name any bands off the back of my hand that I particularly enjoy, but listening to techno is like pumping euphoria directly into my cranium.
Well, I don't love these genres, but they are pretty good, sometimes. Dance is probably my favorite of the three. It literally makes you wanna dance.
My faves in electronic music are techno, (tech-)house, acid and electro. Here Trance and Drum&Bass have been virtually killed by "artists" who want to create charthoppers. The old underground vs overground stuff. Now Miss Kittin thats rather (minimalistic) electro(pop), typical early 2000s stuff. Doh i miss the partying nights
Malaria vs Chicks on Speed - Kaltes, klares Wasser
Peterlicht - Sonnendeck
Paula - Als es passierte (Andreas Dorau Remix)
Ellen Allien - Sehnsucht
In early to mid 90's electronic music had its breakthrough, back then the "scene" was a bit more homogenous, many publications were dubbed "Rave", later "Happy Hardcore". Few examples:
Microwave Prince - I need your love
RMB - Experience
Westbam - Celebration Generation
Jam & Spoon - You gotta say yes to another excess
For us Dance is forever linked to the Eurodance era that died sometime in the mid 90s.
Jam & Spoon - Right in the night
Josh Wink - Higher States of Consciousness (Tweekin Acid Funk)
Awex - Its our future
Plastikman - Krakpot
Marco Carola - Compressed
Green Velvet - La la land (Thomas Krome Remix)
Tok Tok - Beatcreeper
Nightcrawlers - Push the Feeling on
The Bucketheads - The Bomb
Ken Doh - Nagasaki
Deep Dish - Say Hello
Everything but the girl - Missing (wouldnt have been a hit without Todd Terry's remix skils)
L.S.G. (Oliver Lieb) - Hearts
L.S.G. - Fragile (Ice Age Remix)
Orson Karte - Metamorphosis
Quadran - Free your mind
Oh wow, Nighthawk. There be many links there.
o________O; PLUR to the power of ten! ^^
xD i have been pulled into Raverism by my friends
and now we patiently await for cons to go the raves and get high
off the beat and twisting of neon light goodness
hm i can't name any bands except for Dj's that's about it
and Dj Sisen ish awesome
not to mention Dj D'Agostino, Dj Alligator Project, BassHunter, Dj Tiesto
and more... o_O; i just wish i could figure out who made that song
"love me and then just touch me until i get my satisfaction"
that was the song that got everyone at last time's rave pumping and running around, xD
You know theres some powerful tool like google ;) That would be Benny Benassi - Satisfaction. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FI_p4tw5hCw

I've always had a slight affinity of electronic music. Stuff like Daft Punk, Mindless Self Indulgence, The Faint, and some stuff from video games and Anime. However, I didn't know much outside that.
Recently though, with the help and guidance of Fiery and Xyplex2 I've been hearing some new things that I really like. Thankfully, it is all pretty diversified and good stuff, I'm liking it a lot. A lot of times when you think of electronic/techno/trance music, it all sounds the same in your head (or in movies or tv shows for that matter).
I'll look in to all those links or at least the artists on them, Nighthawk. Nice to see you posting again! Pop in to chat some time you hermit.
thank you! >w< i tried google and i kept getting all this weird stuff
I don't listen to these at home, but I like it on parties. I used to hate techno, but I can live with it now. ^_^ The song that caught my ear recently and that I like: Basshunter's "Now you're gone" >http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOILMRhL9Qo<
Also, Basshunter's "Boten Anna" XD LOL >http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYQUsp-jxDQ<
you should check out Dota.
Boten Anna and Dota, ROFL. xD
Anyway, I listen some electric music; Daft Punk and Depeche Mode. Ohh, I can't get this song out of my head: Tainted Love >.< It's really awesome. :] Marylin Manson's remake of it is cool too. As for techno and dance, I freak out on those when on a party. Dancing on those is the best way to waste some energy when you're mellow. =P
marilyn mansons video of tainted love is all ganster like and it's a party and this nerdy girl turns into a sexy flirt! (LOL)
oh yess dancing is like a drug for me o__O; can't get enough of it
Daft Punk is really good
im glad i got into them when toonami showed that Video wayyy back then (lol)
One word UNTSSSSUNTTTTTINNNNTSSUUUUUNNNNTTSSSS.Satisfaction the video is better with the you-know.Nothings better than having Steven Hawking give me a lecture about Clog-Dancing.

Daft Punk's "Discovery" aka Interstella 5555 [those Anime videos] is the only album I like, but it's a darn good album anyway. ;D
love the song
but the girls in the vid are ugly
As far as trance music goes, ATB's got my attention:
ATB - Ecstasy >>> http://youtube.com/watch?v=pABVHTJEfrA
Hardcore techno? These guys do it right:
DJ Hixxy - Sacrifice (Dougal & Gammer Power Mix) >>> http://youtube.com/watch?v=IoF1S8m9vAM
Fun, cheesy, and incredibly awesome, Scooter has been making music for well over 15 years now, and are still one of my personal favorites. The group consists of two DJs and one MC, together they are an unstoppable force that have covered different styles in techno, trance, house, and hardcore:
Scooter - I'm Your Pusher >>> http://youtube.com/watch?v=OTphpBssVVY
An underrated 8-bit dance prodigy:
She - Coloris >>> http://youtube.com/watch?v=SzClkMxdsgI
House music DJ + para para dance video = Perfect harmony:
François Dubois - Blood >>> http://youtube.com/watch?v=tqB5z1gmMPg
Not really a favorite artist of mine, but I love the song and video, so I just had to include this one >_O:
Eric Prydz - Call On Me >>> http://youtube.com/watch?v=pjHtQa1Gcf8
Ohhh my gosh links galore!!! YEEEEEE!!
Wow guys thanks for the hot response to the topic. And thanks for all these great listens. Nighthawk....Darn you and knowing more good songs then me!
Daft: that ATB song is being listened to repeatedly at the moment.
But as it is i like trance, hardcore, dark stuff. with little or no words....the good stuff.
Got more than a decade of experience there :) Plus the fact that electronics had a really big time in the 90s. Still, the 2008's Love Parade, one of the bigger "cons" had 1.6mil visitors. You mention you like the stuff with little or no words. I agree there, we have tons of stuff flooding the market being labeled trance or techno when its just quickly finished junk made for the charts. One of the reasons the scene is virtually dead. While imo the american scene preserved more of its creativity. Rush, Hawtin, Aquaviva, Morel, Saunderson and whatever their names are still manage to publish new good stuff.
Yes yes yes, but i must say i have yet to find an american who made good trance...Mabey i havent been in the "scene" long enough.
Ohh shiznit just found a new orgazmic Trance song
Lee Haslam- The Future (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5ILC...eature=related )
hey look what i found after many years of missing it...

*Sniff* another great 90's song lost to the sands of time...
Scatman- ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpHLE...eature=related )
I still listen to old breakbeat hardcore :). You know like Acen Razvi and early The Prodigy. I also listen to happy hardcore since it is so popular.
I am a major techno, trance, bass.happy hardcore and rave fan XD
