What do you think the meaning of life is?
What do you think the meaning of life is?
Give me all your gil. You don't deserve nice things.
The meaning of life is 42 or LOVE!~
I dont think there is one meaning. But my meaning is to live life to the fullest. To the best of your abilities make life as enjoyable and lovely as it possibly can be for you! Gather your rosebuds while ya may, old times is still a flying, in this same flower that smiles today, tomorrow will be dying. Carpe Diem! Gather your rosebuds while ye may! Seize the day! We only have one life (I believe) and believe it or not, sooner or later we will die, it could be 50 years from now or it could be tomorrow, so make the most of it!! Dont let fear get in the way of your life and your happiness!
This is from Dead Poets Society. I wanna remember this forever and always try and strive for that, its very hard tho, some things fill me with much doubt and fear but I must do my best!
Another meaning of life could be to making earth a better place. Another could be to become "enlightened" and helping others reaching "enlightenment". I think the meaning of life is different from person to person. Some have meanings more selfish and others more selfless.
Just being alive and living... and then you die.
The meaning of life is finding your way to live happily and to be loved.
Damn, that's cheesy.
the condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects and dead organisms, being manifested by growth through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment through changes originating internally.
What if life has a meaning you don't approve of?
What is it? and can you prove it?
Well as ner as I can figure, if there is n all powerful being or multiple gods in charge of our existene, then human life only has one logical reason for existing: entertainment. Not ours
Aside from the fact that you don't put homicidal apes inc harge of a planet unless you think its funny. Then you stik them in th middle of nowhere so they don't bother anybody.
our whole culture is based on entertainment. We pay actors so muh mor than teachers its ridiculous.
now I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that mind you. If I were a god I'd feel the same way. I'm just saying that the world makes a lot more sense when you relie we're here solely as a form of entertainment.
You didn't think humans were important to th grand scheme of things, did you?
@Clayton_n So you are saying if there is a god/gods the only reason they created us was for their entertainment?
Yes its true in the grand scheme of things we are pretty worthless, and it is an interesting thought. In Watchmen, Dr Manhattan is out in space in a different deserted planet with no life at all and says "The existence of life is a highly overrated phenomenon". If earth dissapeared the universe would go on just like normal.
But honestly whether we are important or not, we can still make the best of it. Just because society is based on entertainment (if it even is) doesnt mean your life needs to be. Maybe we are worthless in the grand scheme of things or maybe we're not... and human society may be rotten and disgusting with many bright spots, but you can still decide whether your life shall have meaning or not, whether it is meaning for you, or for the greater good. I mean you only have one life, i'd consider that a privilege, whatever gods or not gods there is, they gave you the opportunity to do as you please.
I believe that life has no meaning, but that doesn't mean that one cannot give meaning to their own life.
I think the meaning of life is to give life meaning. Huzzah!
Sometimes I think life would be easier if we were just a cow who only had one thing to worry about, which is eating grass. I dont think animals think and worry about their lives like we do. They just live their life in the now and seem pretty content with it, whether it be a cow or a tiger or a zebra.
But humans have gotten this huge burden, we are much more self-aware of ourselves and of time, of past and present and future and there's all these things we have to do, and need to do. All this goals, these norms, these standards and demands that you have to live up to. We worry about so much. We arent content with just surviving and just being, in the now, enjoying that. No we demand more. Overall I think this has made us into the the most miserable species on this entire planet.
Life has a meaning but it doesn't have a definition. Life can't be defined because you have a different way of defining it than everyone else
