Apparently, a friend of mine at college told me that PSN was down, so I decided to look it up at G4TV and found this: http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/pos...ion-says-sony/
Hate to say but XBL may be next, what's you guys take on this?

It's sad, but stuff like this is bound to happen at some point or another. the best we can do is hope the damage isn't that bad, and just wait until order is restored.
I only see this type of thing happening more often actually. It will only be a matter of time until it happens to XBL though that would be more unlikely. Well I'm sure PS3 users can make do without PSN for the time being.
This is all because some hacker is busy screwing up all the games. No-wall hacks in Black Ops, prestige hacks in MW2, and other weird things in specific games. He's demanding a million euro's or he will keep on using the hack. Sony can't find out the HOW he is doing it, so they decided to call for the "yearly maintenance". But if you own both a PS3 and an xbox360, you get free internet on 360... Or so I've heard, until PSN is up again.
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooold.
And still pissed.
And FREE GOLD not free internet, which was for the weekend and for only Europeans lol. And no the hackers are just mad cause Sony won't allow Homebrew altogether...People don't just hack games, lololol.
I thought they just decided to hack it right when Mortal kombat AND Portal 2 came out...
Either way Sony better get off of their slow butts because it's been since what? Wednesday? That I haven't been able to play online?
Again, it's not some hackers that wanted to hack COD...just some mad hackers cause Sony won over GeHotz in court and Sony supposedly are blocking us from "our rights" to hack the PS3. Get them facts straight. =3
Anyways, PSN servers are being rebuild.
yea its still gonna take a couple days before its back up. Good thing ive got Oblivion to keep me busy ^^

Well good thing I removed my CC info ages ago.
Crap.. I don't remember if I ever kept my moms things on there or not :/ I don't rememberrrrr oh noes. :| Stupid [removed] hackers...
It went down right as I was about to buy three movies to watch on my PSP.
They make it bloody hard to do things legitimately half the time...
Hackers, who needs them? Honestly, game companies are going down hill because this world have real cheap people that would resort to hacking things to get free games.
Last I checked the right to hack is not in the American constitution. Im also pretty sure its not a right in Japan. One time I was playing a Uncharted 2 on the PSN and a hacker completely ruined the co-op I was playing. Hackers make things totally unfun. Dumb hackers :nono: .
Exactly.

That made my day.
I don't really use it but it's unsettling to me, anyways I hope XBL goes down too to stop all the prissy Xbox people with "Hahaha PSN is down".
Anyone who used their CC on PSN.. Are you guys going to disable it and get a new card? or wait and see?
I wouldn't wait. There are reports of people already experiencing odd charges on their cards. I'd lock the card and get a new one. I'd also call the credit bureaus and have them put you on high alert in case of identity theft.
I didn't have a credit card at all so I'm not worried. I usually get prepaid cards for XBL or PSN (though I am a XBL player).
That seems like a lot of work... Ugh this is a pain.. I was going to go today to get a new card but my mom didn't feel like it and said no. So I just told her if something happens it's not my fault since you were too lazy and shrugged and left.
So what does this high alert thing do?
---I always used the prepaid cards.. But I don't remember if I used the card once for something minor or not. Better safe than sorry.
It has them keep an eye on your reports so they can catch anything that may happen as early as possible, before any damage can be done. So yeah, your mom isn't going to be happy making three different calls for that.
I'm going to get my credit card checked out tomorrow, to see if anything's changed on it.
