Watch Fairy Tail, One piece, Naruto,soul eater give all those animes a try I found them really good especially fairy tail and soul eater, naruto is also good :)

I suggest you watch Naruto. I'd recommend Full Metal Panic! too but they use guns sometimes.

C3, Kampfer, and High School DxD were all pretty good, and short as well

try to watch darker than black and 07-ghost and i think nurarihyon no magi is good too
