Re: Genius vs. Hard Work ?!
um... well if you are asking about geniuses vs hardworkers in general id like to be a genius so that i can work better xD
In the naruto sense on the other hand, if Lee is anything like Gai sensei, Id say that Lee would do better xD especially seeing how Lee doesnt use any gen or nin jutsus.
Re: Genius vs. Hard Work ?!
I actually think that hard work pays, though it's nice to be born a genius.
Re: Genius vs. Hard Work ?!
Born geniuses usualy end up working hard naturaly so shouldn't it be obvious? On the other hand people who are born normal have that unuiqe desire to push themselfs to be the best they can be. <-- This is only in a few cases.. Sakura is an all around failure. Just sayin. Lol.
Re: Genius vs. Hard Work ?!
I'd rather be born a genius. Who wants to work hard and complain about the work being too difficult?
Hard work sometimes doesnt pay off. Being a genius always does.
Re: Genius vs. Hard Work ?!
Lol In my eyes, hard work accomplishes more than being a genius. Like in the martial arts world, you can be a genius but there is always gonna be someone out there better than you. As for lee, he's too flawed as a character.
Re: Genius vs. Hard Work ?!
You can be a genius even without being born one. But the only kind genius that pays off these days are the kind that generate profit out of substance that has no beneficial impact on science or use for mankind. Jobbs, Zuckerberg, Wales, are they really geniuses?
I've a friend who's both a genius AND a hard worker. He knows every little detail about engines scientifically explained and never misses a chance to get his clothes dirty with oil when one of our cars need fixing.
Re: Genius vs. Hard Work ?!
Well considering how I don't like Naruto (flame me later.. well no not really..)
and putting this into the real world.
I say genius would beat down hard work..
but it all depends on what thats being put into..
:v that's just me~
as for me, I'd say genius for class related things, and hard work for my other things that don't require smarts at all xDD
Re: Genius vs. Hard Work ?!
I've seen through school that hard work really does pay off. When you're a genius you tend to get lax and really complacent since you have the ability to conquer whatever it is you're good at. But a hard worker can also conquer the same since he put a lot of effort in it and his genius can be developed.
But a real genius not only has the innate ability but also works hard.
Re: Genius vs. Hard Work ?!
... Why the hell would you want to be a genius? being that smart is hard work within itself.
Plus people treat geniuses as if they're disallowed to make any mistake whatsoever. Not that i'd know because I have the IQ of a box of rocks, but i'd assume so.
Re: Genius vs. Hard Work ?!
Genius for sure. Tough , it all really depends on the personality of people.
Re: Genius vs. Hard Work ?!
I'd rather be average and be a hardworker. A genius mind is just a plus and I'd rather be a hardworker anyway.
Re: Genius vs. Hard Work ?!
Geniuses don't have to work hard to get what they want, I'd rather be a genius or a golddigger.
Re: Genius vs. Hard Work ?!
The genius may well be able to beat the hard worker at a certain task; however, imo if it were not for hard work, there would be no genius in the first place.
While I wouldn't doubt that one can be born a genius, I do believe that any person can potentially become a genius if they understand how their own mind works. In general you will find that most geniuses have a very different (and more efficient) way of thinking than "normal" people, and that has much to do with why certain tasks are effortless for them. Quite simply, they think according the natural structure of their own minds (Whether they're aware of this or not is another matter) rather than according to some universally taught convention through which most of us develop our skills.
If a person is simply considered a genius just because he/she can do something fluently and effortlessly, then one could just as well say that he/she is a genius at reading since he/she doesn't find reading difficult. This isn't to say that hard work doesn't pay of course - on the contrary, this is to imply that genius originally stems from hard work. The mind is such that it will always look for more efficient (thus less tiring) ways to solve problems (if the person wills it through practice), and eventually to the point where the person no longer has to conciously think about what they are doing - therefore the capacity for genius is in all of us. Likewise, it's too simple to say that someone born a genius has this and that easy, which really isn't far from saying that someone born with long legs has it easy in athlectics. Yes, they may have been given a genetic advantage (and granted, one which they themselves may not have earned) but nonetheless, that is the reward of accumalative hard work genetically passed down from generation to generation. So essentially genius is something earned, not granted.
Re: Genius vs. Hard Work ?!
Hard work beats being a genius , untill the genius starts working hard . No way around that in my opinion .
Re: Genius vs. Hard Work ?!
I really believed for years that HARD WORK pays.
However sometimes the world is too cruel to do even grant that.
But I strongly believe that hard work can beat any genius. What's the use of a genius brain if you're not gonna use it to pursue more?
