There is a risk of addiction, and certain populations should reduce or avoid caffeine. The average cup of coffee has about 100 to 200mg of caffeine. If you drink a cup of green tea every day, you are receiving a relatively small dose of caffeine. Eight ounces of green tea contains about 35mg of caffeine, which is about half the amount of caffeine found in regular, black tea. Green tea is high in the amino acid L-theanine that has ability to reduce mental and physical stress, improve cognition and boost mood in a synergistic manner with caffeine.
Never been much of a coffee person; it gives me headache and insomnia for a day if I take coffee. So tea for me.
