What would you guys do if you had that much money. I'll buy myself a small laptop and put the rest into the bank for future usage. :) What would you do with R50 000??

Save it up or spend like a tycoon and investment.

A Colt Single Action Army in .45 colt with a 7.5 inch Cavalry Barrel with ivory grips(not shown) and a nickle finish
Maybe a few others but that is my dream gun right there other wise what else would be saved.
that translates to little over $6000. not a whole lot you can do with that. I'd buy a Soundstram XXX15000D and 2 Soundstream XXX 18's. That leaves me with about $800 and i'd spend that on 2 Mechman 270amp alternators.
>-( Pay off my damn bills. And anything left over is beer money.
Pay off CC, dont have a lot, but I could get rid of them. Then probably pick up a half way decent Mt. Bike and Kayak. With the rest, probably waste on stuff here and there. :)
Pssssh, what if you already have more than that.
Hmm, so far I haven't done much except buy food and pay bills with it... Already bought a 5th car about half a year ago and sold a truck.
You silly commoners

I would be very happy to have them at first place xD
Then I'd also buy a laptop for me as my Toshiba got broken down and invest the rest of it with my father's help :P
Buy low, sell high.

Nonsense.
The whipped car I'm driving (or, pointedly, not driving) right now cost about $1400 after taxes, etc., and the electrics, seats and transmission are on their last legs, so I'd probably be able to get a decent (albeit still well worn) used car for $6000, provided I go out into the country to buy it. Around here, small towns (identifiable from a distance by their grain elevators full of corn) usually have better prices on used cars, and very often the dealerships out there don't care about much of anything and won't make more than a halfhearted effort to deceive, if they even bother at all. In town here, though, you might pay as much as 50% more for the same car, and the snake oil salesmen are ought in force. One guy tried to sell me a car for $5000 (payment upfront, too) with a rusted-out roof. Could see straight through from directly above to the stained seats and everything.
Equivalents to the car I had before this one go for about $4000, and it was in decent shape, the flawed cabin light dimmer notwithstanding. (You could use it to shut off all of the exterior and interior lights at night, overriding GM's supposed safety features, not to mention violating at least a few laws.)
I would fix up my car, tell my beloved we're going on a trip to Orlando for the harry potter wands. The rest would go in the bank for slow spending while I get a job.
@TheAsterisk!
look up the things I listed that you seem to have ignored.
I'm looking at like 4x that for my bonus this year. Sadly it's all going toward paying off my student loans.
@Kaitou+
Whats your job? 6000 dollars a month is something some doctors don't even earn.
It's £3,911 in the UK. I'd save it until I could get £50,000. Either that or buy a bunch of lottery tickets :p
oh boy when i get the much money i get my self a super light and super comfy skates and it also cost a $1000 but it worth it! ;D

What would I do with R50,000?
Nothing, because it's not legal tender in this country.
I'd have to get it converted into Pounds Sterling first, and then I'd have to pay for it to be converted. So it'll probably end up being like £3K. Not a lot I can buy with 3K. Probably buy a new computer and save the rest for rent. Not much else worth spending it on in the state this country's in.
In South Africa R 50 000, you'll have enough money to buy two old types of cars in different catagories. I'm thinking of saving the money for a car, but the little laptop I'll spend 2300-3000 to buy one to type my freelance stories. I might be able to take my old reporter job back... :) But for now only a laptop. :)
Thanks, u saved me from calculating exchange rate.
-I would spend around $1000 of it for a holiday for me and my bf to go and visit my family. A
-Another $1000 to go to another country where i have some unfinished business to deal with.
-$1000 would go to stuff thats needed for house, but thas been put off until having money.
-$1300 would go to insure and tax the car for a year.
-The rest i use to pay up bills.
There u go, money gone.
