Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
It seems like every Monday, when I get to post on the forum, there is some kind of guy in this same library who comes in just moments after I do and jumps on the same computer. He always seems to look back at me with a serious grin on his face. At first, I thought he was cool but now, I think he's just... creepy.
I dontknow if he's a pervert or stalker or whatever so, Can anyone tell me what I should do?

Re: Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
Flip him off and run away.
I don't know, just don't look at him, I guess?

Re: Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
He must want you. Your best bet is to just ignore it and shrug it off as nothing much.
I mean, he might be there at the same time you are, but that could be just coincidence.

Re: Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
I used to have this guy who would do the same thing whenever I got on the bus going home from the tech store when I used to work there.
Every day, without question. Very first seat, and he'd stare at me the moment I got on, and he'd stare at me until I got off twenty minutes later. After about half a year I mumbled at him when I went past "Take a photo, it lasts longer y'weirdo."
Haven't seen him since. Though part of that might be because I lost my job about two weeks after telling him he was freaking the whole fucking bus out.

Re: Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
You could confront him. Do you see him at any other times, like in a class or at a job? You could also just ignore him. Or you could stare back and try to look creepy. You could also go in, and rather than go to a computer, get a book or something and sit where you can see the computers and see how he acts when he doesn't see you. You could also just ask the librarian about him and explain the routine and that he makes you uncomfortable.

Re: Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
Well the first thing to do is make sure that you completely log off every site you visit; forums, chats, and other stuff. That way he can't use cookies and history to hack your stuff. Second, either confront him with a baseball bat to the side of his head or inform the library that he's uberly creeping you out and see if they can bar him from coming back or simply kick him out. Also, try changing up the times you visit and use the computers there. He sees your routine, so you should change it and randomize it.

Thanks. I think I will try that next week.

Re: Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
He could just have a crush on you and not know how to approach you. Try approaching him and ask "Im sorry, but I notice you smile at me a lot...do we know each other?" You could pretend that its because maybe hes an old schoolmate or something and see how he answers you.
I used to do the same with a crush waaaaaaaaay back in my freshman year of high school. I would watch him, daydreaming about how cute he was and how I wish he'd just notice me [notice me senpai~]
Turns out he -did- notice me and called me the 'red-headed stalker' [I had reddish hair]. It broke my heart. I never intended to come off as a stalker, I just had a crush on a guy and lacked the confidence to talk to him.
If hes jumping on the computer you just used it could be him trying to get to know your likes and such, giving him something to talk to you about.

First people tend to be creatures of habit. Maybe he just likes that computer and happens to show up about the time you need to leave . You could try using a different computer and staying longer. If he ignores you and goes to his usual computer than maybe you have nothing to worry about. If he lurks despite there being free computers and then takes yours when you finialy stop than you may have a problem.
In any case I'd suggest watching the anime movie "Perfect Blue" and excercising whatever remains of your second amendment rights in your state (which I think is actually rather a lot in your state).

I do agree with you with some of what you said, but there is also a difference between daydreaming about the guy like you did and just being creepy. Jumping on the computer she used IMO falls in the creepy category.

Re: Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
I'm just going to say be careful. Dude sounds like a creeper.

Re: Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
Just confront him, at least give him a 30 minute date to get to know him, or ask him to show his cock or something; either way, if you don't like him, tell him to hit the road and he will.

Re: Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
It's a very difficult to accuse someone of stalking. But it would be best to confront him because he certainly got your attention. You be the judge to find how how this person is like, so you can take the time to know him. However if you feel like he isn't good news, tell him that you don't like it and he needs to stop. Anyway, for you to call a guy a pervert I don't see any act of perversion going on. 38\ How I really see it is that he just admire you, in order for you to find out just ask. But be nice anyway unless he do something that makes you feel uncomfortable.

Re: Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
these are all fine suggestions, but i'd take the direct route and shoot him to death. you'll be trading one problem for another, bigger one, but hey, the first problem was the one that was bugging you.

Re: Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
Show him your boobs. If you give in he will go away. 2% of the time it works 120% of the time.

that's clever and i'm going to pilfer it and use it randomly in a conversation at some point in my life.

Re: Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
When someone is bothering you, you should tell them that they are bothering you.

Re: Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
I was going to say what @Ωmega said. He probably likes you but is too shy to talk to you, so he stares at you to see if you notice him noticing you. The problem with this is that it is hard to interpret his silence, until you do the move you will not know if he likes you or not. For the sake of not being forever alone, if I were him I would try to at least drop out of the ninja stalking shadow comfort zone and would tell you how I feel, or at least start a conversation with something as simple as "Hi".

Re: Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
Make sure he isn't jerking off under the computer by you. *This is great advice.*

Re: Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
I'm back! ...and so is Mr. perverted stalker guy. He's sitting at the same computer as he always does. I'm sitting at a computer from across the room so I can keep an eye on him.
EDIT: Ha ha ha! ...okay, maybe it's not so funny but, I called my stepfather last week after I made this topic and he said "According to the state law, I cant call the police on him until AFTER he kidnapped me, beaten me, rapes me and buries me in the back yard. ...or attempts to do so. Otherwise, he could have me arrested for harassment.

So wait. If he's at the same computer that he always uses, and isn't paying attention to you since you're at a different computer, what makes you think at this point he's stalking you? Any chance this is actually a non-issue?

Re: Help me defeat the pervert, ...or stalker!
Could be. In fact, several AF members are also saying I should try to talk to him.
What do you think I should do?

Right now you still think of him as a pervo stalker. So I'd say cool it for a couple weeks Just use a different computer until you feel like he's just a guy who likes using the same computer and would smile at you if he had to interact with you for some reason, or he does something new that makes you worried about him anew.
At the point decide if you want to have anything to do with him.
