Can you get your grades up if they're tanked at a low point?
I'm the knight at that. I've tanked my science classes many times & got them up to an A on the last week of the semester.
I realized the title is misleading. Scratch the title.

You stole my gimmick.
I try to not let my grades get low but if they do I just try harder or do extra credit.
In academia, you get grades only when you are finished with a course. So, this does not apply to me.
Usually, in Math, around this time of year, I'm lagging. But to my surprise, I have an A- I was like *gasp!*. But in English, currently... I have a C+. My parents don't accept anything below a B-. If I had a B-, then they would be like, "Ok. That's fine. You can work a little harder to get a B+" or something like that.
I do bad in math and science.
I currently have an F in math, and a high D in science. ( The rest of my grades are good. A's and B's. )
I don't have much longer until grades close, and my teachers do not do extra credit- sadly.
Anyway, I am trying harder to at least get C's or my parents are going to have my head. T_T
Ha, I'm a pro at this. I always slack off and rarely do homework, since I have better things to do at home and am too lazy anyway. However, I pay attention in class (Might as well since I have to go every day) Then I wait for a test to roll around, ace it and bump my grade up nicely. Finals and mid-terms are my saviors ;D
Wow. I envy you guys who are able to raise grades up in the last week. D:
Since my classes have grades that are based primarily on tests (aka no homework), you have to ace every test or you fail. O_o
Yup, sure. If I actually tried, then totally.
Though since i was in a room full of the huge smarticlez when I had 2 months absent in 3rd grade, of course I missed 1 exam, and took 1 that they just did also when I got back. Also when I got back it was studystudystudy 24/7 X.X My parents locked me up in a room >.>' Then, the highest I could go till then was only 11th place though. never reached top 10 then. I had great grades, but mi peepz in de room were uber smarticle, and studies more heartily than me x.x Disappointing, how i just threw it out, but that kinda gave me a break for all that so called pressure from mi parents o.O
If I know that the teachers accept late work then I will lag a while, if not, I actually do the work and get as much extra credit as I can.
I've been working hard this week and actually got my low C to a high C with one assignment!
It really depends on the weighting of all the course work in comparison to the exam and how much I really even care about the mark. If the exam's worth 30% (which it usually is with my "important" classes) then I can bring my mark up at least a full letter grade. I'd have to really slack off to need that in the first place though.
I stressed myself to try extremely hard this quarter, since this is also my first quarter in college, so I pressure to get a high GPA for the first quarter to make a balance for the future quarters. I did good on the final for one of the classes, I got 93/100 but the I still got 3.1 for only this class. I know I did ok on my other finals, but it doesn't seem like my overall GPA will be any higher than 3.0...
Nope. If I didn't get good grades during the whole year, then it was pretty clear that I was born a failure.
I don't get my grades until I do the final exams and once my internal and external essays have been handed in and that's in 1-2 years, so this does not apply to me either.
My grades almost never drop below an B-. If any does drop below, it's usually about halfway through a semester so I always have plenty of time to bring it up to a B.
Well i usually have good grades, but there's always one test paper that screws my whole grade up. And then yea,i need to work harder for extra credit, and i bump up my grade :P
Yup. Lock myself with work and WORK IT BABAYY!
LoL. I could work harder, ban computer (unless for work) etc.
Hah!
My mother says "try harder" even when I get an A @_@
(what she cares about is rank in my class D<)
I'm pretty OK with most, I'm just REALLY screwed when confronted by my Malay language subject D:
But in 2 years time, if I pass my 'O' Levels, sayonara worthless Malay language!
My school is nearly impossible. There is no bumping your grades back up. There also has never been anyone to graduate valedictorian. For a college prep school, they sure make sure you don't get into college.
I don't get low grades :/
I've never gotten anything lower than a B...
