Do you think CrunchyRoll subscription is worth it?
I know I'm new here but, I found a guy that got me a lifetime membership to CrunchyRoll for $39.00 He gave a liftetime warranty so I tried it out and it totally works. If you ever have any porblems, he'll fix it right away. Anyways, if anybody else wants to get hooked up, let me know..

Yes, crunchyroll is well worth it.
Re: Do you think CrunchyRoll subscription is worth it?
Crunchyroll doesn't limit how many people can watch something at the same time, so yeah, it's worth it if you are willing to pay for like 20 people like I do :p

Just a spambot. And depends in the anime, anything they've gotten in the past couple years is HD but some titles they've had for a while (A few include Bakemomogatari, Toradora and Lucky Start) have really low resolutions. Can't say what the streaming quality is non-premium since I haven't checked.

I see, so as a premium member the 'newer' titles are presented in HD.
That's pretty good considering you can buy a 'lifetime access'.
Might get that some day as I do watch alot of anime.
Thanks.
Re: Do you think CrunchyRoll subscription is worth it?
I've always wondered who it is that does the subs for the animes on crunchyroll. Does anyone know?

I believe most of the recent titles, especially currently airing anime are subtitled by Crunchyroll staff, and the ones that they get that are already finished airing are already translated by whoever owns the license to the anime and Crunchyroll receives the rights to air. I figure Crunchyroll subtitles anime themselves since their "jobs" page says they hire translators.

Re: Do you think CrunchyRoll subscription is worth it?
It's totally worth it! I had to buy Apple TV to use it because in Oz it's not available in the Playstation Network yet. But worth every cent of the whole $7 a month!
Re: Do you think CrunchyRoll subscription is worth it?
I'll be honest, I don't think it's worth it. All their stuff eventually becomes available to everyone anyway, so it's more economical to just wait a week or two.

I don't have regular access to a computer, but am always using my Xbox 360, so having Crunchyroll to watch things is amazing (you have to have a premium account to use Xbox 360 CR app). But otherwise, yeah, their stuff comes out a week later for non-premiums if you don't care about being a week behind on the airing stuff.

That strikes me as a pretty solid reason to get a subscription, and if I watched things predominantly on my Xbox, would probably do the same.
There is also the problem that I am literally Ebenezer Scrooge, though, and won't spend eleven quid on a takeaway unless a ghost in chains turns up to suggest that maybe I should.
Re: Do you think CrunchyRoll subscription is worth it?
I found the Crunchyroll Android app to be bloated so I deleted it. As for the rest, I can stream free without commercials elsewhere, including on my 'phone. If I cared about HD (a lot) I might pony up the chinks. But I don't, so I'll go w/Ebenezer Murphy up there. Living on disability income is thin enough as it is.

The Crunchyroll app on Android is absolutely garbage. It streams real well, but the interface is awful.
Re: Do you think CrunchyRoll subscription is worth it?
Oh the interface is dreadful, for sure! I prefer the Roku interface to that one--although the Roku one has pretty grave problems too.
(edit: hey, another Michigander! This thread just got 20% more awesome)
