Yes, but I'm very bad. I always feel like I'm smart and strategic while playing, but I'm not. xD
i love playing chess but i am not very good at playing chess.
Hmm... I wonder if it's a bad time to say I'm kinda good at chess... o_O Ehehehe..
Anywho, I love chess! xD Went up against my classmates in my last hour class all the time. If I lost, I'd keep challenging them till I won.
In my opinion, to become good at chess really just takes practice. Eventually you'll build up your own style and go from there.
I play, but I'm not very good. I always think that I haves some great strategy when I play only to find out that it wasn't good at all.
I play chess online--and sometimes a lot!
But since I'm not the quickest player in the world, I normally rely on using countering strategies that aim to end the game in the fewest of moves possible, as well as to capitalise on any errors made by my opponent. Alternatively, I'll sometimes attempt to trap my opponent's queen early in a game by pretending to be "vulnerable", especially if they major on offensive play and are clearly looking for a quick win. It's a strategy that seems to work well against most players who tend to think only a few moves ahead; but of course, it's extremely limited against the best players, who are very good at preventing their opponents from launching any kind of "strategy" in the first place.
Had 'lessons' for it sometimes in Math in junior high, the instructor would get pissed off at me for giving away pieces for free. So to sum it up, I stink at it.
Havent played chess since elementary school and I'm in college. Back then, I was the best of my class. No idea how I'd be now though.
I enjoy pulling off a 4 move checkmate.
Hmm, I rarely play chess nowadays, but I'm ok at it.
I'll never win against anyone good, but with people around my skill level (which is low) I can win.
Playing as black do the fools mate. dat 2 move check mate.
I've been playing chess lately, but it's not easy. I learned tho that chess is all about looking 10 moves ahead before ever moving a piece. It's all about understanding how your opponent can and most likely will respond to your moves. Once you get a hang of how traps are usually set and how certain moves and exchanges open up play for other officers, it gets easier to look really far ahead of your opponent's strategy. Also, doing chess puzzles helps a lot too. With that said, I'm average at chess.
I would love to learn to play chess but I don't have anyone to teach me.
I've watch games a few times but I have no idea if I would be any good at it. I may have to learn sometime.
I used to watch people play back in the day and never really understood how to play it, much like mahjong. Would I want to learn? Maybe, but I'm in no rush.
Not often, and when I do play it.. I always lose.
am I good at chess?
...erm... sorta?
I always beat my lil sis, but she sucks. :3
