And I thought the bible game was bad... *shakes head* This is just plain stupid.
Stop right there Jew! Convert now or go to Hell!
Oh Jesus!
Whoops... I mean;
"Oh Geezus!"
What next, catagoring foods into religions? o.o'
This is just sad. Yet they don't see that the idea of this goes completely against the fundamental teachings of true christianity.
It's already happened in real life, do we really need a videogame?
I saw a video for this game. It's so funny. But VERY interesting. I would buy it.
I seriously doubt people who are actually concerned with converting people to christianity made this game. Even aside from the stupid concept, I bet the game's really bad.
Man this is almost as bad as Super Noah's Arc
This is ridiculous.
Now that made me laugh. I think I'll give this to my mom, help her vent her intolerance in ways that doesn't bug the living crap out of me whenever I go see her.Quote:
"It's an honest attempt by us to make a difference in the world by creating a product that has positive moral values," said Troy Lyndon of Left Behind Games, Inc.
Just because you CAN win without firing a shot, doesn't mean everyone will go that route. WHY even put that feature in?
True, true. It's like saying you can beat a GTA game without causing mass destruction. Sure you can, but no one does it that way.
At any rate, I believe the creation of this game to be wrong, the basis of it to be wrong, and overall it just promotes intolerance and the marketing of religion to those not of the Christian faith. That last thing I want is Christians showing up at my doorstep every Sunday like the Jehovah's Witnesses do. I hate being woken up for religious marketing.
Actually I don't see any real comparison between the two. Its one thing if you want to talk about your beliefs in a rational/logical manor. Its another if your just using religion to make a commercial profit. They can't say its to promote christianity because everything about this game is strongly adverse to what christianity should be. They might as well make a game based on the Spanish Inquisition.
Excellent point. Everyone who would normally defend GTA, and then jots this down as 'unacceptable' would be a hypocrit. There is no, I repeat, NO difference between playing a game where you try to convince someone of your point, and shoot them if they refuse (KotoR comes to mind) or this one.
Argue with them. It's what I do. First thing I did when two of those apeared on my doorstep was undermine every one of their arguments with scientific evidence. Normally I never even bother (especially since some of my friends are religious) but when you start threatening me, you only work yourself in troubleQuote:

My cousin was reading a satanic bible when they visited, worked pretty well too.
LOL. When will they learn to just let people make up their own damn minds? If anything this game will make people just think all christians want to kill everyone thats not like them, not such a great way to get memebers. and the people that do convert because of it would have to be pretty twisted because they agree with that whole idea of hating anyone that doesnt agree with them....my god...they've invented the bush video game and just added jesus!!!
Well I mean it is weird but makes sence on what the game is absed on. The games ia based on the book Left behind which is well about the apocalypse and the second coming of jesus. The book was a big success so they thought hey what about we make it into a video game. They added some violence to spice it up to the teenagers but obvisouly this was targeted to christian teens. Of course they know that rebellious teens are going to spit on the thought of it. It is a big thumbs up for the kids who never get to play video games because of their parents but for sure the parents would play this because it is a bible game. So there is no harm at all. It is not promoting anything. If someone argues that this is wrong and is promoting to people of the non christian faith then they might as well say that the bible might as well should be taken of the book shelfs because a non christian could see it and be drawn into it's wikedness ohhh how evil. Look it's a game. I havn't heard any subliminal messages, so it's fine. No harm done.
Well, weather it's right or wrong....it's up to the person buying it...People force religion on each other every day........It doesnt bother me much....
Well I'll be fine if the bible is taken off the shelf lol. Or at least moved to fiction.
It might be interesting to pay
McDonalds: sorry, we dont serve jews.
lol j/k ^^; but its really a stupid concept for a game. convert or die. hmm yup, borderline terroism?
aslong as small stupid kids dont play it and take it seriously it should be ok. or teens or adults with IQ's you can count on one hand.
Sadly, when it comes to the majority of "christians" I would have to agree with you.
Seems like most who profess to be christian really are not. You can't be a true christian if you ignore the principals of christianity? It's like saying your a vegetarian while chewing on a piece of bacon lol.
