A Lyrical Discussion
So, I thought of a good idea for a game. Hopefully it will be fun. >_>
The rules are very simple. One person starts by writing one phrase/phrases from ONE song. Then, the next person responds to them using lyrics from another song. It can't be the same song. Also, be sure to put the name of the song in parentheses so we know you aren't cheating. :P
Don't use any lyrics that go against AF's rules and policy. So without further ado... let's begin!
All you need is love! (All you need is love by the Beatles)

Re: A Lyrical Discussion
So baby don't hurt me, no more! ( No love by Eminem)

Re: A Lyrical Discussion
Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down. (Okay, not really.)
Large lips in the motion
Trying to keep blaming on
As I say reason I'm late on
Find you turning
Laughing and smiling
(Those are Engrish lyrics from the song Face by the fictional band Mongolian Chop Squad from the anime BECK.)

Re: A Lyrical Discussion
Ladies and Gentlemen
we understand that you
have come tonight
to bare witness to the sound
of drum... and... bass
We regret to announce that this is not the case
as instead, we come tonight to bring you,
the sonic recreation of the end of the World
Ladies and Gentlemen prepare to Hold Your Colour!
Okay, f*** it, I lied
it's drum and bass ...
what you gonna do!?
(Pendulum, "Blood Sugar")

Re: A Lyrical Discussion
Standing here
I realize you were just like me
trying to make history.
But who's to judge
the right from wrong?
When our guard is down
I think we'll both agree
that violence breeds violence.
But in the end
it has to be this way.
(Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - It Has To Be This Way)

Re: A Lyrical Discussion
I like cheese.
I like cheese.

I like cheese.
I like cheese.
IIIII liiiiike cheese. Cheese. Cheese. Cheese.
CHEESE. CHEESE. CHEESE!
(Theme from Loiter Squad)

Re: A Lyrical Discussion
I can see inside you, the sickness is rising
Don't try to deny what you feel
~ Disturbed - Down With The Sickness
Are we meant to be replying to each others comment lyrics with more sing-song lyrics? So, is it meant to atleast make SOME sense? Because some of the stuff up already is confusing as hell. xD

Re: A Lyrical Discussion
@Zainox All semblance of any coherence went out around the time of the Fandango post. This has just devolved into lyrics.
"What ever happened to predictibility?
The milkman, the paperboy, evening TV.
Everywhere you look , everywhere you go (there's a heart).
There's a heart
A hand to hold onto.
Everywhere you look , everywhere you go.
There's a face
Of somebody who needs you.
Eveywhere you look,
When you're lost out there and you're all alone,
A light is waiting to carry you home,
Everywhere you look.
Everywhere you look."
~Not sure of the source, I think it's Cannibal Corpse.
