Why does posts sometimes becomes double posts, while others just becomes 'added'?
How come that sometimes posts get's "added" to eachother [if not anyone else have been writing anything in between then instead of becoming a double post it becomes 'added'] while in other times it still becomes a double post?
Just wrote a new post in on of the threads in here and since I didn't felt like clicking on the edit option [lazy bastard] and though it would become a 'added' post I still posted it and... well I saw that it had becomed a double post and it broke my heart a little bit. Especially since I can't delete it either.
I was;

Re: Why does posts sometimes becomes double posts, while others just becomes 'added'?
Because double posted is frowned upon in most forums and is commonly used to to rack up post count.
So thus an automatic post editor has been added to combine both post.
---------- Post added at 02:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:46 PM ----------
And it may have something do with the amount of time in between??.. or just a glitch

Re: Why does posts sometimes becomes double posts, while others just becomes 'added'?
You know. I'd always wondered how the 'post added' thing works, since every other time I've managed to double-post by accident or something.
---------- Post added at 09:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:01 PM ----------
So... this is a test to see if this actually works. O_o
Oh, it does. cool.

I hate that crap, especially in Wolf games. o.o
This is the reason I created my second account.

Is that so?

Re: Why does posts sometimes becomes double posts, while others just becomes 'added'?
Yeah, I always thought the "post added" thing only happened when the separate posts were submitted right after another -- like within the next few hours or so. If a day or so were to pass by without someone else posting, then your next post would become a "double-post", or so I thought. o.o

Re: Why does posts sometimes becomes double posts, while others just becomes 'added'?
It does depend on how much time has passed between the two

Do you know what the 'time limit' is?
Because in the thread Im talking about it was only a matter of around 10 minutes or so.

So perhaps what happened to my post before was just a glitch?

Ah, maybe. Unsure why it wouldn't work as its set to.

360 minutes is exactly 6 hours.
365 minutes is 6 hours and 5 minutes, which is a rather strange timeout.

Because there are 365 days in a year...

Why would we wait that many minutes?

@Kaitou Ace
The "adding" system almost never works for me. It often becomes a double post even if I post something within the 10 minutes (don't even leave the thread all time times and often post just a few mintutes after the other one). Is there a glitch going on or do I just have a bad luck?

Re: Why does posts sometimes becomes double posts, while others just becomes 'added'?
Hm, well I don't know why it wouldn't work for you O_o; but if you are posting again in a thread that quickly, you should probably just edit your original post instead of hoping that it'd merge them ^_^;;

@SuXrys
It's because you post like a thousand pics and videos in your posts. I think before it exceeds the character limitation per post, it had to makes a whole separate one.

Most of the times it has been doing that to me, I have not even had a picture in that post.

If it's not because of your picture/video spam then I'm not sure why it doesn't merge for you.
To be honest, I wish it didn't merge posts for me.

Why? I thought people didn't liked that and that's why this new system came?

It's stupid. Especially for Wolf.
