So who likes Nu Metal?

Anyone know any good nu metal bands? And who likes them? I'm interested but can't find any good bands.

I've yet to find a good nu-metal band, I'm fairly certain none exist. Disturbed certainly isn't one of them.

HOWEVER, their influences tend to be awesome (ironic!). There are pretty much three types of nu-metal bands:

1. Bunch of non-talented schmucks who want to be Mr. Bungle (examples include: Slipknot, KoRn, Mushroomhead).

2. Bunch of non-talented schmucks who want to be Faith No More/Primus/Fishbone* (examples include: Linkin Park, Sevendust)

3. Bunch of non-talented schmucks who want to be Rage Against The Machine (who I personally dislike but bands like Limp Bizkit really seem to want to be them).

*Not a big fan of Fishbone, but Faith No More and Primus tend to be cool.

Nu Metal is pretty much my current favorite genre now.
Does it matter if its American Nu Metal?
If not, you could try Back-On? Not too sure that they're Nu Metal, but it says they are on Wiki (not exactly reliable I know)

O.O I dont think...that Disturbed is considered as a Nu Metal band...They're more considered rock; unless there's another band with the same name.

it depends on the album i think. its disputed whether they are hard rock, alternative metal, heavy metal or nu metal.

True that. They got three albums and each in a different style. I like 10.000 fists a lot.

all are good, my personal favourite album is down with the sickness. i love the bass lines in all the songs.
the other three albums are completely different though

There's Shinedown. A very interesting Nu Metal band. I also like Disturbed.

Shinedown is not nu metal. Just like people think Disturbed is. Maybe Disturbed is, but mostly Hard Rock and sometimes metal.

To the unkind individual who called Slipknot "untalented schmucks" I heartily disagree with you, and agree to disagree...

Listen to slipknot. Like everyband, they've got good and they've got bad...
Disturbed is good, Sevendust is good, Slipknot is good, is SOAD a Nu-Metal band? If so, listen to them to. Korn is pretty chill, Linkin Park, and Thousand foot Krutch, and try skillet. Some of their (skillet's) stuff is a bit hard to swallow if you're not a christian, but they've got a lot of great alternative/nu-metally body of work... To Dxon, Try 'em out and send me a PM about what you learned (good and bad... ^^)
