Re: Do you feel bad for Gaddafi?
I'm all for religion. Though not religious myself one bit. But I get it and I listen when my friends talk about their beliefs in a nice respectful and plausible reason. But when you preach it especially on a forum it raises my brow. Forums are about multiple opinions and debates not about hammering everyone else who believes differently than what your beliefs like if they believe in karma, eye for an eye, etc. The man is dead done and over. The end.

So were a lot of his victims as well. All of which can't be brought back.:(

Which is the moral quandary. Some people are taught to forgive the evils of others, but when it personally happens to you and when it lasts so long, can that even still happen? If there is a Heaven and Hell, most of us can agree on which place Gadhafi would be going, despite any amount "forgiveness" received from us mortals.
There were foreign nations that didn't help stop the rebellion (some even help to push it), but that anger didn't just pop up and Gadhafi wasn't helping himself when he treated his people like crap (killing hundreds of people in a pro-democracy protest...really?).
As I have said to several people in the past, its really easy to maintain this belief in the safety and comfort of a bedroom; its much, much harder when that belief is actually put to the test because of something that has personally happened to you or when those horrors are exposed for everyone to see (which, in this day and age, is rather easy).:closedeye
