Blueangel: The colors work very well together. Having the alien at the center of the sig really draws my eye to it right away even in the sea of blue. The light on the left conflicts with the light in the middle and could probably be thrown out. The text is blended nicely, although a different font would have probably worked better.

Daken: The colors work nicely with this one as well. Although the character isn't centered, the eye is still drawn directly to her at first. The simplicity works well with the overall mood of the piece, although it feels like it needs a little more in the upper left. The font works nicely as well as the text placement. One of the biggest things here is lighting, though. It looks like you have light coming from the right, but it's hard to tell. Try and make that a little more apparent.

This was a tough battle, but overall the victory goes to Daken. Although both pieces had a paranormal feel to them, Daken's ultimately came out on top.


Marudashi vs. Seung-li

Marudashi: The lighter flowers bring out the darker colors on the girl, and the simplicity of the piece is very nice. It feels like there's not much blending, though. Th text works well with the mood of the piece, the two different fonts adding to that effect, although it'd be cool to see "Bloom" in a different color than "death".

Seung-li: The green and the black work well together. One of the few entries that actually have a light source as well. The left side feels so empty, and not much is done with it. The font works well with the sig, although placing the text on the left would help that emptiness.

Neither of the sigs really cried out "paranormal", but for a winner the judges went with Marudashi for a better use of space.

;__; but the light in the middle was the ET finger glow and came with the stock.. Oh welp.. Good battle :3 I'll be signing up in June.. ^-^
