Ok let's hear what you think are the most powerful/influential phrases ever spoken in anime.
Mine is from Gundam SEED episode 47, Lacus was speaking..
"The choice we are making may be one of evil as well, for we call for peace, but with weapons in our hands. Nevertheless, allow us to break this chain of neverending conflict. Give us strength."
That phrase and the music that accompanied it made it one of the most powerful things I've ever heard in anime.
It's not an anime, but at the end of Band of Brothers when the guy said:
"Everyone who shed blood with me in this war is my brother." That really hit's close to home, you know?
Yea, I suppose they can be from anywhere I guess....
i forgot what anime it was but it goes like..
"If your forgotten then you never existed"
when i was watching that anime it was the perfect timing of that to say it...if any of your friends r ever to leave to somewhere new dont ever forget about them guys...
"If you're not remembered then you never existed" came from serial experiments lain. ^_^

"Give a man a fire and he'll stay warm for a night... SET a man on fire and he'll stay warm for the rest of his life" Hehe!
Although not from an anime.. And relatively messed up, for i remember little of it.. since it goes on for about 5 minutes.. "One day, man will fall. One day, man will not be able to fight anymore. But Today is not that day! Today we fight!" Lotr: Rotk. Rohirrim charge to Gondor. If anyone else remembers more of it..
"Hold your ground! Hold your ground!"
"Sons of Gondor, of Rohan. My brothers."
"I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me!"

My favorite quotes (I have more than one, of course) are from Cowboy Bebop and Full Metal Alchemist.
Cowboy Bebop:
"Do you know a story that goes like this? There once was a tiger striped-cat. This cat died a million deaths and was reborn a million times..it was owned by various people who he didn't care for. The cat wasn't afraid to die. One day, the cat was a free cat, a stray cat. He met a white female cat and the two cats spent their days happily together. I like this quote, when he's telling this story to Jet, because he's laying his own life bare in this story he heard. Everything Spike was about, who Spike really was, he told his whole life's story in that little quote. It touched me.
Spike & Faye's Scene Session 26
Spike: "I thought I was watching a dream that I would never awaken from. Before I knew it the dream was all over."
Faye: "..my memory came back. But nothing good came out of it. There was no place for me to return to. This was the only place I could go back to! But now..where are you going?! Why are you going?! Are you telling me you're going to throw your life away?!"
Spike: "I'm not going there to die. I'm going there to see if I really am alive."
That quote got to me as well. In fact, all of ep.26 was touching to me. And I'm not moved easily. But my favorite quote is from the episode called "Toys in the Attic":
"...And the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge."

Maes Hughes was one of my favorite people, as well as Col. Mustang. Roy was deeply affected by his best friend's death, and the way the state treated his friend's murder (promoting him 2 ranks in death, then dropping the case) was absurd. This quote struck a chord in me not only because it's true, but also because my best friend and I are going into the military as well. It made me think that the government could just as easily brush off our deaths like that as well, Amida-Buddha forbid something bad ever happens.
[To Magwar, in response to imposter Elric brothers] "I told ya before, let's take care of those kids first. It's been a while since I've killed anyone. I kinda miss it."
[his eye turns to Magwar with a sick, scary grin]

Not only is this quote funny, it's an insight to Ed's creativity. Kinda makes you wonder though, if that's acceptable State Alchemist behavior, what other loonies are running amok in the government? Scary, really...

I love all of those quotes!!! The one from 'Toys in the attic' is so funny. Theres also another one that Jet said which I really liked:Quote:

Also, the line that made me cry was this: "...bang." Thats it.
That one tiny line that Spike said made me cry so much... It was so sad...
One more that Spike said which made me laugh was:
