The brains wants you to do it, but your body doesn't act on it
i do like to have good grades, but i'm just not working on it.
i'm in college and i should already focus, but there's just a lot of nonsense things i pay attention to and i'm putting what's important aside. i don't know if i just lack interest and motivation or i'm really that lazy.
have anything similar?

Sort of. Basically, I'm too tired to do anything at any given time. Fun stuff.

Back in school I was easily distracted and just plain sleepy to do anything. Now in college, I finish the work and get some shut eye.

It's funny.. I always have an urge to clean when I'm sick. My brain is telling me to clean and my body just doesn't do it nor is fully capable >.>

Happens all the time to me and every time it does it actually frustrates me. >_< I hate wanting to do something and be too stubborn or lazy not to do it, I try to deal with it as positive as possible. I do hope that once I'm in college I'd change somehow because I'll make sure to be as busy as ever so that I don't have any freaking excuse to doze off. X3

back in school I was a procrastinator... everything at deadline, if not I wouldn't be able to concentrate.
In college I changed..
My concentration was all over the subjects I hated so I did not have to study real hard on tests and such..
A thing that also helped me a lot, my husband was always there pushing me and doing my homework whenever laziness took over me ^^;

Yea, everyone does. It's called procrastination and lack of motivation.

Those are definitely signs of lack of motivation. And what's worst,
they might be the result of a certain problem caused yet to be solved.

I used to have a serious issue with procrastination. Luckily for me, I lost interest in all things and then had a problem with laziness. But that's the past; I have no such problems now.

Yeah, I was considered 'gifted' at a younger age and didn't really make any effort. Things like absolutely raping those standardised tests in primary school and being in the top percentile and all that bunk.
For me it's always been my priorities. I never wanted to get involved with anything too possessive of my time that I didn't enjoy doing. If a person enjoys the pursuit of knowledge and becoming the brightest they could be then they should pursue it. Otherwise why would you? You don't live forever and could easily be wasting a lot of time that could be used for endeavors you're passionate about.

i always have ample time to finish my school works, pero lagi akong wala sa mood.
minsan when i'm trying to take things seriously na, saka naman madaming dumadating na temptations.
i easily get attracted to guys.nawawala ako sa concentration, haha.
when i'm at home naman, di pa din ako makapagfocus.there's always someone who would be texting me every now and then.
nalintikan na.lalo na pag napadpad ako sa harap ng computer!!!

Re: The brains wants you to do it, but your body doesn't act on it'
From high school to college, I'm still like that. Mainly from my passion, gaming and art, gets in the way. I procrastinate and wait until it was almost time to turn it in. Part of me wants to concentrate on school but more of me wants to get out and go do what I want to do (game design and graphic arts).

Ha! Very similar to myself. I have much bigger problems, so I just distract myself from it a lot >.< I have been ignoring my homework lately and doing them on last minutes .. also studying to tests and quizes on the last minute which actually has given to good results o.o'

Oh man I'm still like that. I wait till the last day or so to finish. I think it has to do with my passion for writing and gaming. Its not as bad as in high school but I still do it from time to time. Over time I think you start growing out of it and get things done quicker.
