The NSA is now stealing photos of people's faces off the net, for facial recognition!

It seems a full-blown dictatorship is not far off now! People, STOP TAKING SELFIES, or the guys in dark suits and sunglasses may be knocking on your door in the not too distant future!!!!!!

Old news. Everything you post, every text you send, every picture you upload, every private message you type, everything is all viewed, logged, and kept on various servers. The Library of Congress, the NSA, FBI, several other areas of government are all provided with these copies. But being spied on doesn't make it a dictatorship. The US has been spying on citizens for decades. It's nothing new. What I find funny is how all the doomsday preppers think they're so safe and hidden when Homeland Security has a list of every prepper in the US and has given orders to treat preppers as terrorists in the event of a national disaster.
Anyway, I digress. This is nothing new. They can watch you through your phone camera for Fudge's sake.

Is it really stealing when the pictures are freely available on the webpage? Am I stealing when I save some hot dude's selfie to my computer, or does it only constitute theft when the NSA is doing it?

I completely agree. You post them up, expect people to look and/or save those said pictures.

One solution, though. Dump all your devices. Go live in the woods. Be wild ^^

When you copypaste a software/picture/movie without paying the "author" for it, what do they call it?
Some people are stupid enough to think their fb account is an album where they can store all their fotos for good keeping; others are more moronic thinking that if they keep their account on "private" no one will spy on them.
Also YOU ARE ALL IDIOTS, because you use Failbook, Twatter and the likes!

I don't think you can copypaste any of that. You must actively try to steal a movie or software; companies don't just put the data file online without safeguards. One's sefies posted on Tumblr are free to download to anyone.

I have a twitter, tumblr, facebook, YouTube, website, steam, numerous forum accounts, emails etc etc.
They'd be buried in data, just like everyone else. All well and good compiling billions of TB of data but no one will ever be able to sort through it.
