To all Final Fantasy Fans
I bring good news. I'm sure when you heard that there would be a game where Final Fantasy protagonists and antagonists could battle you were sure happy.
Thus was the birth of Dissidia
Because of your support there is now a sequel (in my opinion, remix) of it called
DISSIDIA 012 (Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy)

CONFIRMED CHARACTERS are
Kain Highwind (Final Fantasy IV)
Tifa Lockhart (Final Fantasy VII)
Lightning (Final Fantasy XIII)

Alright, so I was looking to pre-order this game in YesAsia and other importing sites.
No luck...TT_TT
Re: To all Final Fantasy Fans
Blah. My PSP doesn't work atm. That's what I get for changing the entire casing to clear and adding LED triggers. The problem is the UMD door isn't lined up with the laser. Soooo... to get to the UMD door to get it to line up again I have to take everything apart. Throw my laziness into the mix and that PSP isn't getting fixed anytime soon. I guess I can always just re-mod my PSP. But then I'd have to get/make a pandora battery. Too lazy. D:
I guess I'm just not too exited about this game. Seems like the exact same thing but with more characters; maybe a few new features, but I doubt they're going to make any major changes to the game as a whole. :P
Re: To all Final Fantasy Fans
The only Final Fantasies I have ever played are FFIV (FFII in the US) and Final Fantasy V for the SNES, and planning on buying the DS version of Final Fantasy IV (although I didn't like the childish 3D graphics) and the PSP version coming in 2011 of Final Fantasy IV the after years. I loved both IV and V but never try any others. If they confirm more characters from this two FF games, I will sure buy it.
Re: To all Final Fantasy Fans
Unfortunately, after Final Fantasy X-2, I lost all hope for any of the new Final Fantasy games.
I even tried Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core, since I am a huge FF7 fan, but I was still quite disappointed.
Maybe Square should try going back in time a little? Make more games like 3,7,9, etc.?
ACTUALLY what they should do, like they were acting like they were going to do but instead they made Advent Children, is remake VII. I know tons of people that would pay for a updated graphics version. Especially since now you can only get the original game using the online store.

A remake of VII will be Square's dying breathe unfortunately. Square knows it as well as some of the more perceptive fans. VII launched Square to the heavens and if they remake it, then they will having nothing to remake other than VI (English III) which many of the older FF fans will vehemently protest against because they don't want their jewel destroyed by grubby hands from the mainstream gamer who doesn't understand more than basic math and english.
Crisis Core, a game which I love to death, has only short comings in the fact that the main story plot is so short. If it were given the memory space like the console games, then it would have succeeded VII and Square would be forced to remake VII to appease fans. That's why it's on the PSP; it's to be overlooked as only a sidegame to the original when it truth it is the origin. And don't spout retcon BS, all big companies pull *cough*Nintendo*cough* it.
Dissidia Duodecim only fell through for me in the fact that their were no monsters for me to fight and the fact that you could only face one enemy at a time. The first one is difficult to pull off in the fact that FF has never done a fighting system like this before and would be difficult to implement in fighting non humnanoid enemies. The second would be difficult because do you know how powerful the proccessing system would need to be to pull off all those complicated moves with maybe, I don't know, ten characters on screen, let alone I don't know how many characters on the world itself. That, and there aren't that many characters to choose from. Don't get me wrong, they're all great; I just want more variety than 32 characters that I've mastered.
Give me Auron or maybe even Vincent. Hell, I'll even settle for Genesis, no offense to the Ham.
Enough ranting... It's Jecht Time!!!!!!\
