real life or fiction

am i alone in thinking real life can be a drag most of the tme and when i turn on a good anime i escape to a world i love

just a thought but wouldnt you rather live in a world where your dreams of anime bliss was an everyday reality or do you prefer the real world of "work,sleep,play,work,sleep,play,work,sleep,play,. .......

not to say every anime has a happy ending or story but i know everyone has a fav anime or character they wish was true or real in some weird way.. maybe even live in there shoes for just a day

so my ? is would you rather live the life your living in at the moment or live in some fictional reality and if so what would it be like for you

i personaly say dreams are what we love and if you dream it it can be real .... we live in past, good thing theres a future ;)

Reality brings you self-consciousness while non-reality gives you dreams. If you can cope with both reality and non-reality, you'll die a happy man. I love both, in both ways. I am never fussy about my wonderful life, so I am happy regardless everything.

However entertaining my dreams and fantasies are, they wouldn't be dreams and fantasies without reality.
So, I'd much prefer reality. I'm generally a very happy person and I see making every day a positive experience as an achievement.

Reality is hard and difficult. And most of the time not even fun. Anime is fiction which whe wish was our reality because it's way cooler. Actually things happening in there.

Actually, I prefer my real life. I love anime and watch it constantly, but since my real life has gotten to be almost anime-like quality (romance wise) recently, I think I'd choose real life, thank ya very much! ^_^

If you really did go off to live in your anime world then it would no longer be a fictitious world, because it would be real.

I would not dedicate my life to my little day dreams that I get though, they will never happen. We all wish that there was something more in our way of living than just eating, sleeping, talking, et cetera, as I am sure that people here and elsewhere in the world would like to fly around in airships, have dramatic swordfights, be able to stay airbourn for more than five minutes naturally, become a cleaner in a giant walking castle, go to a school of wizardry, wait at a bus stop with a giant monster named Totoro, and what not.

I have dreams but I also have more realistic dreams too. I do not mind fantasising about my wonderful and surreal dreams where I am anywhere except here, but I direct and dedicate myself more towards my real life career goal, without these weird and fictional dreams of mine getting in my way as I know they are not possible.

If you develop psychosis, you can have your fantasies mix with reality~!

But yeah, reality's pretty cool if you're winning. If you're losing I suppose you could drown your sorrows in alcohol and comics. But, one would sure stand out sitting at the bar reading a comic book.

If we're talking about those make believe worlds of fantasy (Which would be reality if we were in them...living them) it doesn't promise the best things. I mean, it's not like YOU get to choose what you be. You can be some horribly ugly Half Orc peasant that gets killed by some minion of a Lich Lord.

OR you MIGHT just be that great hero that gets killed by a dragon OR some rock that feel on your head after getting shot by arrows (LOL at Sun Jian). Or you could be some poor person living on Taris THEN Darth Malak comes and kills you. OR you can be some Jedi that gets killed during Order 66. OR WORSE!

BUT, if I got to be a Lich...I'd enjoy life.

To me anime is just a form of entertainment, just like a movie, it doesnt really help me escape reality. I like it yes, its fun and sometimes fiction seems better than reality cause is pure imagination and everythings perfect in your imagination but i just see it as entertainment.

I agree simply because experiencing things through dreams is nothing compared to experiencing things personally in the real world. Alas the dream world is only for dreams (naturally). Truthfully, the real world is the only world in which one can really experience things anyway, unless ofcourse you are experiencing a nightmare or a wet dream.

Very true, experience through dreams may seem delightful but they are sadly fake, so personally I say, the fantasy world should just remain the fantasy world, as the real world should remain the real world, experience in the real world is much greater than the fantasy one because at least the experience you get in the real world is real and you can say has truly happened, but any angle you look at it, fantasy will be fantasy and it will remain fake, no matter how much a person wants the fantasy world to be real.

Yes. One can learn things from real life experiences because they have actually happened in the real world and we will learn from it, whereas one cannot really learn a lot from a dream world as the happenings there are not really happening and also a majority of the things that do happen in dreams are unpredictable and unreliable.

I do not know if this applies to anyone else but I would personally never rely on a dream to help me make up my future based on the experiences that I have encountered in them. Only reality can help me determine what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is bad, what is smart and what is foolish, and what I should and should not do.

I'm in the same boat. And anyway, if you thought life was like a fantasy dream world you're just going to crash out even harder because it's not like that. Plus, I think some of reality's truly beautiful moments are better experienced than could ever be written. Some things you just cannot capture.

Mhm, it would not be to smart to rely on a dream for answers, that is like saying, your dream told you to kill your best friend, so would you listen to that and say yea I gotta do that right away, no, logic in real life would say that killing your best friend is wrong and just don't act crazy. Dreams can sometimes make foolish people do very foolish things, but I guess if someone is that stupid to listen to their dreams for things, then they deserve the outcome they get.

Hum.. today i was bored as hell and i got a daydream.. anime day dream lawl. it made me happy.. so i live my life as reality but with some anime mix.
I think there isn't any problem to dream or think about an anime, or think " what would i do if i was there", or wish you are that character.. if that makes you happy what's the problem?
You only have to balance your life.. like a ying & yang.. your REAL life & anime ( or other thing)

If you don't get to obcessed i think it's ok.. there are so many horrible things in life, why can i live my life as i want? Yeah.. i like thinking, drawing,dreaming about anime.. but only in my free time ;)

Real life, because in my fantasy, its basically Star Wars and no-one wants the Death Star to blow up their planet. Plus in real life I have S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Well, when I'm relaxing, I'll go into a fictional world and I can cope with both reality and my fantasy worlds.
