I`ve been getting rumours that there will be another truck strike but this time, it is the companies who are doing it to lower the gas price. However I haven`t notice anything of that so I was wondering if anyone else heard about such a strike. Many people say that the strike will be all over Canada and the U.S.A.
I haven`t seen any sign of a truck strike but I heard about those rumors too. I heard that it was suppose to start first of june at midnight but nothing changed except gas price going up.
We have been having lots of strikes over here in England recently. Postal strikes, Fire service strikes, driving instructor strikes.. the list goes on.
I havent heard any of the truck drivers talkin about a strike . .(works at a truck driver unload facility) so um yeah i havent heard anything ive heard the local drivers complain about gas but ya know, the company pays for it
... There was a first truck strike?
It was in 2006 if I`m not mistaken. Truck drivers were blocking the roads to lower gas price back then. Grand-Falls at Irving Big Stop was the place where a lot of trucks had been parked. It was full of truck for miles. Atually the strike did not last long. It lowered the gas alright but everything on the shelves in stores rised in price so it dirin`t help much.Quote:

Snopes also says something about a Truckers strike. Apparently, one was organized for April (Apparently on the first... April Fools?). At any rate it didn't do much, as you can tell. http://www.snopes.com/politics/gasoline/strike.asp
