Re: Hello, Nice to meet you.
Hello Shiro. It's a pleasure to meet you too. I'm new here as well. I am just starting to learn japanese. when I call a friend who loves anime almost as much as I do, he always says, "Moshi Moshi" when he answers the phone. ^_^ He got me saying it too. i would love to learn more. I'm going to the library to learn phrases from Rosetta Stone's Speak Japanese collection. Its hard but I'm gonna stick to it. We could learn together if you want. I'll help with your english too. ^_^

@Lynx Tokai
Hello! Thanks!
Oh, you learn with eagerness, I think.
I know things about "Moshi Moshi" :D
"Moshi Moshi" 's origin is "Mousu Mousu" in old times.
"mousu" is a polite word of "iu".
"iu" in Japanese is "say" in English.
When we call, we say "Moshi Moshi (I say, I say)" to make sure of the connection.
Therefore, "Moshi Moshi" means "I'm going to say something. Are you ok?" :D
Nowadays, that is the most usual phrase used on calling phone. :D
( Doesn't my English have anything wrong? I worry :( )

@kyoshiro20
Hello!
Really? Thanks!
But, I make English sentence with a dictionary, and reading is so, too.
So, it takes much time :(
@OtakuInu!!!
Thanks for your welcome :)
@Darkfire Knight
Thanks for your welcome :)
Well, The most difference between English and Japanese are the order of words, I think.
For example, English is "I want some cokkie.", but Japanese is "Watashi(I) cokkie hoshii(want)".
Further, Japanese needs connective words such like "wa", "ga", "ni", etc.
"Watashi wa cokkie ga hoshii".
If you want to learn correct grammar, Connective words may be hard to learn, I think.
I couldn't understand your last sentence, sorry. Is it such like a common usage?

Since im not a native english speaker myself (am from Sweden) you should know that I certainly won't judge your knowledge in english at all! If you want to write to me then feel free to so so whenever you want! We can practise on our skills together! ;D
See you hopefully around some more!
