Re: I guess I've been doing Uni all wrong....
I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL I GO TO COLLEGE NOW. Seriously, lol, I don't even do those things now and I have all the free time and the budget to do them, imagine when I'm in college when I'm a lot busier (kind of).

High School is nothing, lol.

Exactly.

Re: I guess I've been doing Uni all wrong....
From someone who just started college this September, high school literally is nothing compared to college. Imagine that feeling when you went from elementary school to high school and how much less restricted you were and how much better it was. Now times that by 1000.

Re: I guess I've been doing Uni all wrong....
That's not what Uni is like at all. I call false advertising, off with their heads!

Re: I guess I've been doing Uni all wrong....

Re: I guess I've been doing Uni all wrong....
Doesn't look very fun. To each his own, I guess?

Re: I guess I've been doing Uni all wrong....
I revised the girl video to my experience
Waking up 6:30 -> LOL no, more like 9:00 (class starts at 9:15)
Sports, activity, healthy breakfast -> Rushing to uni on an empty stomach
Laptops, lab coats -> Classrooms
Hanging out with people -> Doing class assignments
Cooking dinner -> Junk food
Putting on make up and going out to meet friends -> Surfing the internet, playing video games
Aleep at 11 PM -> Asleep at 2:30 AM
Anyway, it isn't implausible to have this much free time at university. Sometimes. It sort of varies throughout the year. Towards the end of a class, you're pulling 12 hours shifts for certain, but in the beginning you usually have like 4 hours of classes a day, 1 hour worth of assignments, and the rest is chillax-hours. Of course, nobody is that healthy and social as the people in the video.

I know this is a commercial and they try to make it look as appealing as possible.
But it's still portraying a false image of what a life of a College/Uni student really is. They make it look like it's nothing Lol

Re: I guess I've been doing Uni all wrong....

Don't worry...nobody actually does these things.

Re: I guess I've been doing Uni all wrong....
I'm a second year uni student and trust me it isn't all about parties and drinking till your completely car parked there is a thing called examination that occurs during this time and they are the brutalist (not sure thats a word but it is now if it wasn't before now) most hardcore essays you will ever write especially your dissertation ...... which I am not looking foward to writing

Re: I guess I've been doing Uni all wrong....
i don't think i'll bother watching this video or i'll probably feel depressed
college for me means being behind a computer for almost 40 hours per week doing various types of programming... I find myself nearly always behind a pc... unable to even see the daylight :/ yea yea #1 first world problems, but i'm not complaining, just indicating why i'm not going to view that video

Re: I guess I've been doing Uni all wrong....
This looks exhausting. I don't think I smile that much in a month during exam time.

Well, the freshman 15 is a thing. Watch out for that.
However undergrad was a lot of fun. Maybe because I was in an co-ed honors dorm? You're surrounded by a bunch of similar people, many of whom are also new and looking for friends. We did bunches of stuff together.
I mean did you guys get through college without some mass nerf battles or beach parties?

Re: I guess I've been doing Uni all wrong....
Hey, this sort of thing is totally a realistic representation of university life.
For a business major.

Or a Liberal Arts major.

Depends, really. I've seen history majors jammed in the library for days on end, and philosophy majors who actually take it seriously become completely intolerable because they're neck deep in their research material. On the other hand, my roommate for 5 years was completed his BA in writing with a minor in philosophy in 3 years and almost no effort.
But, yes, liberal arts majors tend to have more free time, and the nature of their coursework often promotes more casual discussion and social activity.

Sort of not really. College takes time away from what I love to do but at the same time, its something I need to do.

Trust me, if there are no limits on your free time then start wasting it like mad.

Huh? The alternative to college isn't laying around doing nothing. It's working. And that takes away even more of your time.
