Rock, Pop, R&B and a little Hip- Hop:D .
When j-pop is concern, I am more into pop. Rock for me is kinda loud (sometimes scary too!) My current love is a korean group though called U-Kiss.
I mostly listen to techno/dance music.....like I am right now! :) :D
for me it usually depend on my mood
but the genres I listen to the most right now are rock and korean hip hop like for instance...2ne1 and Big Bang
Currently hooked on Kpop, Super Junior, SHINee and BigBang
Can't get enough of it..xD
But in general, I listen to Soft rock, R&B, Ballad, Pop (Jpop, Cpop, Kpop), Instrumental
Anything with a catchy tune and good melody.
For english songs, I like stuff by Shayne Ward. R&B really gets to me
Ain't really big on hard rock, too much ruckus.
Hardcore punk was my first real favorite genre, followed by most of the other punk subgenres (namely 77 punk, noise rock, etc.)
I've grown to like almost every genre of music, and my other favorite genre is Shoegaze (My Bloody Valentine is probably my favorite band of all time), and noise pop/dream pop/C86/jangle pop (MBV's "The New Record" and "Sunny Sundae Smile" are amazing noise pop albums, and their albums "Ecstasy" and "Strawberry Wine" are very good noisy dream pop.)
You realize the ridiculous scope of genres, bands, artists, albums you're (ignorantly) shitting on with that statement, right? Though I assume you're talking about synthpop and new wave. I'll agree that a lot of it is shitty, but there are some amazing and intuitive bands in those genres. You've probably heard of Devo; they're legendary and very very creative.Quote:

Ha, Dr. Evil, come here to Kansas City and everyone would agree with you regarding Tech n9ne.
As for me, I go through phases. Right now I'm somewhere between rap and alternative rock, however I think alt rock's my current favorite.
System of a Down is Alternate Metal, so that means extreme rock? :P
Rock, Metal, RnB, Hiphop, Trance, Club and Dance.
I mostly listen to Pop and Soft Rock but occasionally I listen to some of Alternative and Trance music but not all of the music and songs just the ones I like including some Rock and some Goth music.
Rock and Metal with a particular affinity for Sludge, Doom and Grunge.
My favourite band is likely the Melvins though some of my other favourite bands can have a noticably different sub genre. I'm really big on Lynyrd Skynyrd too for example (the old stuff) and it's definetely no Sludge, Doom or Grunge.
symphonic metal, dnb, rock, (german) pop, progressive/psychodelic rock, house, electronica
at present, i listen to pendulum's new album "immersion" =)
Not sure if there's a name for this genre, :p , but the type of music that's dark, insane and crazy sounding. So awesome:cool:
i listen to anime(jpop/rock) music the most then after that it is country
A-Rock, J-Rock, A-Metal, J-Metal
