What do you consider is the worse thing that could happen to you.

Like the title states:
What do you consider is the worse thing that could happen to you?


Like:

Losing the finals on an important sports match.

Not getting paid after a hard day of work.

When a relative dies.



All these things are bad, but only one is the worst, IMO the worse thing that could happen to anyone would be getting sick, really sick.



Think about it, being in bed all day having no way to socialize with anyone, not being able to stand up and do anything, barely being able to eat without the queeziness of vomitting, no games due to need of rest(playing videogames while being sick can be really bad for you)



Anyhow that is what I think, what do you guys thnk? Have anything worse in mind?

The things the OP said are all "momentarily torture" -- it lasts for a short while (usually not longer than a few days) and then goes away. Even the death of a very dear person, it might be shocking for the first while, but you'll eventually accept it and move on.

I think the thing I fear the most is becoming 30 (and possibly older) without achieving anything significant in my life, or even without being able to get a good job that pays for my life... "Failing at life", if that's what they call it.

That, and being disabled or having some really bad chronic decease.

Though there are people who have disabilities or bad chronic deceases and still live a happier life than healthy people, as long as they can accept it and live with it. So I think that failing at life is what has the worst impact on the person.

Not the worst thing, but still pretty bad;Neil Patrick Harris dying. That would be horrible.

At this moment, I can't think of that, but when I look at something, I can imagine the worst case scenario that has to do with that object.

Be chased by a Tyrant or something like it.

Losing my faith.

Dying without obtaining at least some of the things I really want in life.

Becoming permanently disabled or having a painful chronic illness.

getting married

or

being female

God being real and sending my *** to Hell for being an infidel

Losing my loved ones.

Thats the worse that could happen to me.

Acute radiation poisoning. Don't look it up. You truly don't want to know the specifics of what a gruesome way that is to die.

Getting pregnant [unwillingly]. Seriously. :| It's just horrible from every point of view.
Other than that, finding out that I'm suffering from an incurable disease and I'm going to die within a few months/weeks/days.
I'd also add losing a loved one.
