On a side note, you can get AF points by posting or doing the lottery under the AF Shop.

Can't you also get points from playing Blackjack in chat?
If you ask really really nicely, a member might want to donate the points to you.
And welcome to AF.
You can
1) Post a lot; some sections give you more than one point per post/thread... don't spam though
2) head to chat and play blackjack via the bots with the command "Shikamaru: blackjack (amount)"
3) Play the AF lottery
4) Enter contests and win
5) Beg.
All you do is make contributing post and stuff. Or either of the other choices above. However if you stay around long enough you'll eventually find points are rather pointless..
