"Nobody decides my fate but me. .... You don't get to decide what I do or how I feel. I do."

"In a dark and scary night
When everyone's asleep
I hold my breath with all my might
Careful not to make a peep
For I'm afraid if I should make
But one little tiny sound
A monster will take a wooden stake
And nail me to the ground"
Kimberly Freeman ~ Monster
"What do you expect.. from a true freak!!?" -- Broly (The Legendary Super Saiyan movie - DBZ)
Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive. -Mat 21:22
Charles Swindoll:
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.
And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes.
Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
"Dignity. Always dignity."

“My Lord, I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offense against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fir which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornement for a human face. Is it possible that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?" -Mandorallen, Seeress of Kell.
"From the ashes she will rise." - Flames of the Firehawk
“So, using his pride like a shield against despair, dejection, and-most important—self-pity, Raoden raised his head to stare damnation in the eyes.”
Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. An underrated book.
Completely OOC but people overlook Jackie Chan as an inspiration. The guy truly desires to wow his audiences and he puts his body through unforgettable damage to do so. The stunts he has done are ridiculous. The guy was electrocuted doing one of his stunts! He jumped onto live wires because he wanted his audience to have a real spectacle. These days where we have special effects to take the pain out of stunts it's easy to forget the sheer amount of balls it takes to entertain. I respect the hell out of Jackie Chan.
"In the desert
I saw a creature, naked, bestial,
Who, squatting upon the ground,
Held his heart in his hands,
And ate of it.
I said, "Is it good, friend?"
"It is bitter--bitter," he answered;
"But I like it
Because it is bitter
And because it is my heart."
- Stephen Crane
"Without friends no one would choose to live, though he had all other goods." - Aristotle
