How do you say mood in Japanese ? Like how's your mood (good mood or bad mood). Is it 気分?
well お元気ですか is good enough
気分 is kind of in context to physical and health condition
You're close, but it's 機嫌 kigen.
To elaborate a bit on the above:
>気分がいい / 気分が悪い
>Feeling well / Feeling unwell (in a physical sense)
気分 is also used, somewhat less frequently, in a non-physical sense, to express psychological approval or disgust (i.e., that you "feel good" about something).
>勝つのは気分がいい
Winning makes me feel good
>負けたので気分が悪い
Since I lost, I feel disgusted
On the other hand,
>機嫌がいい / 機嫌が悪い
>In a good mood / In a bad mood
>今日彼は機嫌が悪い
He's in a bad mood today
FYI, 「ご機嫌」 is a common colloquialism that exclusively means "in a good mood".
>今日彼はご機嫌だ
He's in a good mood today
Thanks, helped a lot. :)

This reminds me of the old expression :)
