Hay Sera, you know those glowy c4d's you use? I had them Dled once and I think they were called "Acidic glow" or something but I lost them when I had to reformat :< You still have them it seems but do you remember where you got them?

ANYWAY, I love this smudging! Really looks fiery and matches well with the render.
/laments on her lack of smudging ability

Commenting on your newest:
I really like how the lighting brings out the focal, kind of gives off that "don't mess with me" vibe.
JFC I didn't even notice the gift for me <3 It's so amazing <3 Thanks!!
Messing around with a C4d package found by Avido. And experiment with that style.

I like both, but the depth in the 2nd is just stunning, it's like you're looking through wreckage at him.
Soon the starry textures shall consume you ;3
Really liking the second one, although, to be honest, reminds me of the gift you made for flashD. Regardless, it's a good sig overall, like avido said, love the depth.
Om nom nom
Love these bad boys:
It's been awhile since I've viewed your work, so I don't know how well my opinion reflects "reality," but it seems to me like your composition has improved overall.

Planning a tutorial on blending. I wrote one, but it involves too much text, and I want to keep things simple like the Wall of Text tutorial that functions more as a guide by showing a type of process. So in order to simplify it, I am investigating blending as it corresponds to style of individuals. So far I've done 3, much to my dismay, they arent as great as I had planned, but are a step in the right direction.
Avido's C4D style. Usually involves one or 2 large abstract C4Ds, a star field and some bubble C4Ds. Will have to find better bubble C4Ds.

Seung-li's texture and Asian based style. Very distinctive in its use of colors, but also usually well thought out. I was surprised by how efficiently these can be made.

Midnight Rider's smudging style. The one quirk to this one is that it has an up-down quality, whereas MR normally does diagonal or left to right smudging.

2nd Version:

Will investigate further.

I really love how you did this one! It's gorgeous and the colours and the signature in general feel so complete to me. You should do more things like that and maaaybe sometime in the future create a tutorial, too? I love it. ^u^
Love your two latest smudge tags!
Nice job getting such sweet text on the Burst Angle one; I find it nearly impossible to add tasteful text to smudge tags (granted, your much better at typography than I am).
Haha, and I think I might like Serated's MidnightRider style more than MidnightRider MidnightRider style :D
Definitely a fan of how you bled the colors horizontally. I'm leaning towards version one; the extra color helps distinguish the focal.
Needs moar c4ds :3 /KILLED AND ALL
I think this is neat! I could try it but in the end it just looks like I did it xD
Thank you for the replies! Its really important that I explore, and be able to appreciate the work that goes into these things. So far, I've divided up styles into 5 catagories:
1. Smudging
2. C4Ds
3. Textures and Masking
4. Vector/Shapes
5. Manipulations
That later two are going to be tricky because not too many people do them. But it will be an adventure.
Then there are the hybrid based tags. Below are 3 variations on a Seung/Avido hybrid. Using Seung's textures and flowers, Avido's strong use of lighting and bubble C4Ds, I believe this one is a success.
Version 1: Darker Cyan

Version 2: Lighter Cyan

Version 3: Deeper Blue

Probably the best out of the 3 and my favorite
The 3rd really brights out a better sense of flow and togetherness. I can't quite pinpoint what I'm trying to say here, but it just seems more clear and defined compared to the cyan ones. It really brings out the light effects more is what I guess I'm trying to say. With the cyan the image is light as well as the yellow light effects which is still pretty, but it doesn't create as much as a stunning contrast as the darker blue does.
And I really can't tell the difference between 1 and 2... I'm looking but... oh nvm I can kinda see it in the yukata.

What can I say, I like colors, but I'm partial to blue. Not really feeling the yellow line though, that is all. KIU!
