Hello there Shinn..
Isn't it though?! XD
I'll be going next spring if I get accepted for the program, so I'll get to attend the Cherry Blossom Festival. I'm not sure what else I'd do since I'm not sure which university I'm going to, so I have no idea which part of Japan I'll be going to. You're a voice actor? That must be AWESOME.
That's cool, just let me know when you're ready, then we can try to have a conversation or two.
Stay in Japan for six whole months? x.X That. Is. Awesome.
I've always wanted to visit Japan, but it's still a ways off for me. Once I do though, there's so much I want to see and visit. If I can, I want to start it off in the Spring so I can see the cherry blossoms coming into bloom. Visiting Akihabara, getting tons of souvenirs; and if I can manage it, getting to talk with some of my favorite Japanese seiyuu. Being a voice actor myself, it would be so incredible to talk with talents like them.
I'll definitely get right onto practicing typing out Japanese. If time permits, a week is all I should need to get the basics down and hold a decent conversation.
Well, if you want to read it get your comp Japanese capable and let's chat in Japanese. Reading the characters in conversation will help. We can even adapt some Kanji in as we go. XD
I'm learning Japanese so I can participate in an exchange program with my university to go to school in Japan for a semester. Really, I just want to visit Japan, and if I go this way I get to stay for 6 months.
Control Panel -> Change Keyboards or other input Methods -> Change Keyboards -> Add -> Japanese
Once you do that and reset your computer, you'll see an EN at the bottom left, click it and move it to JP, then click the letter A and you'll see options, then click "Hiragana" or "Full-width Katakana". I wouldn't mind talking but I don't have a microphone at the moment.
I enjoy total immersion when it is in a controlled environment and you actually enjoy the language. XD. We could actually talk in English, we just had to ask, "すみません、えいごでもいいですか。" If you'd like to converse with me in Hiragana and Katakana you can, I'm at just about the same level. It may help.
Finally, someone on the same skill level as me.
My instructor lets us come to her office to talk to her in Japanese. We are also forced to converse within the class in only Japanese. I also try to chat with some of my fellow students using only hiragana or katakana so it gets easier and easier.
I can have a conversation and I know about 30 Kanji so far... I'm pretty much still below beginner status. Do you study Japanese?
Well, I find the best thing that ever worked for me was that I did my own thing and when I went out with friends, I met different people and that helped me build more friendships and even a relationship. I am a social butterfly hence why it has always worked for me. Maybe you should just do your own thing and never chase the ladies. It works better if you're not looking because they come a runnin' to you! lol had to add a bit of humour in there but it's true. I found that when I stopped chasing boys and when I was myself, they came to me instead. :3
He has told me quite often that he does like me and he has told his friends as well that he likes me. We go on dates quite often, it's been mostly diner and going for coffee. We talk over text, I have called him once and when we hang out at his place, we talk and watch tv/comedy. I like the way it is. I know he wants to take it to the next level, (At the dating leve) and well, I told him I wasn't ready for that. I told him I wanted to take my time and enjoy the freedom I have. The one thing I truly appreciate about his character is that he isn't forcing me to date him. He is spending time with me and letting me find out when I am ready for a relationship.
