You can put points into more than one skill tree. I tested by putting one into Sniping (all of my points so far are in Bloodshed, although looking at the skill trees I'm thinking that Cunning might be better for me, what with the kunai knives skill which will make Deception SUCH A BOSS for trolling people. I just went for Bloodshed for the health boost and to start towards the final skill, since an achievement is based around using the final skill in that tree =/ By the by ... the game is FUCKING HARD. Have I already said that? It's even harder in co-op. The game isn't very friendly to newcomers. It assumes you've played BL1 so you know what you're doing. The bosses are hella OP unless you luck across a relevantly-leveled orange gun. But I'm sure I already bitched about the OP boss battles. Gearbox weren't joking when they said some of them 'might take up to 20 minutes'. =| I see myself playing the slot machines in Moxxi's place. A lot.
OK. Hyperion guns are crap, because their default accuracy is too bad. To make them worthwhile you need something with a LOT of ammo (i.e. a machine gun, but I haven't yet seen a Hyperion machine gun), or a sniper rifle (they just sway a lot in ironsights) I've yet to find anything decent though. Struggled rescuing Roland because I didn't have any corrosive, explosive or shock elemental weapons. Eventually just spammed this infinite-ammo pistol I had after dying twice. Haven't even found any slag weapons yet! I went 10 levels before I found an SMG. ._.
Well, I've always been a fan of high-accuracy guns (because let's face it, what point is there wasting bullets trying to shoot a bandit if they all miss?) especially since I prefer sniping from distance, but I'm also a huge fan of elemental weapons and my Hellfire SMG is omgomgomgomgomg. The guns all look a lot different in Borderlands 2 though, so I may end up trying other guns just because of the different aesthetics. Some of Maliwan's stuff just looks plain ugly, for example. I'm also a fan of the Tediore 'walmart' description so I'll probably find amusement in throwing a full-clip disposable gun at people for the lulz. despite it probably wasting all the ammo I'd have.
Well, apparently the guns you get from the golden chest are purple-tier guns ... I'd recommend waiting until level 50 to unlock it, but that's just me. And I've made my mind up. I'm totally rocking Hyperion and Maliwan guns, though I'll probably use everything else just to see what pops up.
Well, there are only two video game shops in my town; GameStation and HMV. GameStation was sold out of pre-orders ... I got lucky at HMV. I don't know what I'm going to get, other than the game and I got a poster (which I finally put up today when I got some blu-tack for it). o-o
I'm in the UK. No gamestop here. I'll find out on the Friday when I get my xbox copy whether I have codes for Gaige or not.
On the PC version: yes, because I pre-ordered it on Steam. (though apparently it unlocks on FRIDAY? WTF, Valve.) On the Xbox version: not sure. likely no, because I could only pre-order the 'regular' version as all the limited edition/vault hunter edition ones were sold out by the time I found somewhere to pre-order it. ... I only wanted Gaige, anyway.
...
... Know it all.. -_-
Ha, good luck. Ever since being an alpha/beta tester for an MMO in High School, I know better than to get hooked onto a game during school. It just doesn't work for me. I'm actually surprised I was able to be so thorough with my Wolf game since term just started for me.
