A laptop should do the trick, I mean, you can put it closer to your TV and use the video passthrough feature.

EDIT; Well, it will lag in your preview screen but the result will be a perfect recording. Another thing to take in mind, is that the thing can do 13mbps but YouTube only supports 3mbps, so a lot of quality is loss when you upload it. Blame Youtube. But it's basically the perfect recoding device. AYour PC has to be on though ALL THE TIME when recoding a session.
