Total Geocide

So... Ever thought about geocide?
Genocide is one thing... It's a main theme for action movies... But Geocide is way cooler! Screw killing all people on earth, just erase the entire Earth of existance!

What is the best method to achieve this ultimate goal?
Would it be plausible?
Would you have to go through a lot of effort to do it?

Sounds like a plan. I'd focus all of the sun's energy into one point on the earth so the earth would melt and turn into a gas planet.
