I hate it when the old submitters put down their account with a fake email. I tracked down one guy who had jack***@whoop***.com as their email (I did my own censoring there), but they haven't responded to my email (only asking them to come back really...)
Amongst other old emails, there's SaiBac's, which point to the old al.tv which would be really unusable by now. I tried everything, looking around GameFAQs and other places, but Bacon just can't be personally contacted. I hope he appreciates the work I'm doing that was once his, he had passed the mantle on long before and wasn't that much concerned with the site split. I wouldn't really want to overwrite his work despite having a bit of inaccuracy here and there, 'cause he's the guy we all grew up reading to.

So I totally forgot it was single release day every Wednesday, and yesterday there were a LOAD of submissions. Let's chronicle some lyricwars!
So there are 4 people submitting Kampfer ED. The three mentioned previous, and a newcomer arsmagna. I also have the kanji handy.

So we have 3 people who put up new anison nobody else bothers (or don't have time to go over them yet *coughcough*):-
1) Kikyosama
2) Choco
3) Rikanen
It amuses me that the previous holder of this position is the terribly-inept Neoqstar.
And all three of them fail in transliterating in some ways. 1 and 2 fail in audible gotchas; alternate readings and figuratives and such that some lyricists love to loathe. 3 however suffers from utter laziness. She puts up stolen work then and now, and luckily the way to notice this is when her lyrics has an extra space at the end of each line. This normally screws up lyric alignment when somebody puts up the translation, too.

The system eats up anything after a quote symbol on the little fields on top of the submit page when you put them up on the system.
This is a problem with regards to song titles. It isn't a major problem that crashes the system, and it will show up on the queue summary page, but I will never know what would be in the English title (the EN translation of the song title, the field directly below song title) because all the system gives me, using every encoding I can think of, with a "\\\" which always is an indication that the string is entered into lots of PHP processes as it tries to escape itself from the assumption that the code terminates; unfortunately it fails in the last hurdle (final display).

I thought told you guys this already, but it's NOT a bother to be PMing me with loads of corrections of your work, even for one song you send corrections for repeatedly. (Of course, just don't send one PM for each correction...)
What bothers me is if you submit the SAME lyrics on the queue after some days or even HOURS. Even if you see other lyrics being put up. There is a reason why I'm not handling your submission for the time being. Or maybe the lyric that "skipped" the queue was approved, or even the work of, another admin.

So I banned the guy who in an earlier entry posted a suspicious lyric, for putting up a blantantly-stolen translit. As usual, I get a reply after the PM of doom, and the excuse I was given was "I was checking my spelling with the original person's work" which isn't the most effective excuse but so less annoying to read. But following that he "understood" why he was banned. Gee, how nice.
And I still haven't read some longish replies from some people I've banned before. Simply because their excuses, however silly or unfounded, make me feel like I'm an idiot for banning them.
The one thing I've given up doing for the site is to ask old contributors to register to AF for me to give them their lyrics back. I just don't get anything back from them. The only people who have replied were

Toujou was inconsoleable yesterday, because it's the one-year anniversary of the death of my father. Poor girl, she's such a fathercon. As for me yea I did lead prayers yesterday but after that I kinda treated it like any other day, the only change from a year ago is that I am trying to open up to others more, to emulate the socialite my dad was. My brother got his genes while I don't, so it doesn't come naturally to me as much.
My dad lived the high life, had a lot of good friends and links. Virtually thousands showed up at his funeral because he was so famous. The house was inundated with people from all over the country.
