Took me forever to do the grid by hand. *shrug* I like the way it came out though. Suggestions?

Why did you have to do the grid by hand? there are sooo many other ways to do it that are less time-consuming. If you need help with grid making, just ask and we'd be happy to teach you.

My main issue is that the character should stand out a bit. To do this I would first take out the font (you can't read it anyway and it's un-necissary). Secondly, I would fade or blur the background a bit. Doing that would help keep the background colorful but not distract from the image.

Other than the grid guide, how do you make grids? I went by the lines in the guide myself, besides, it's... relaxing to sit there and create. Erm, anyway, what are some other methods of doing a grid that are less time consuming?

Anyway, maybe the bg is still to distracting. Don't know, maybe a lighter one would be better.
Maybe also add some glow around the char.
