i got the image from cynically insane's spiral calender (haven't even seen this anime, sounds interesting though), anyway, how can i improve it :) ?

First I would suggest getting rid of the shadow box behind the font. Seems pointless to me. Second, the entire left side of the paper seems a bit empty. Other than that, it looks good so far.

i say keep the bar, but change the text, i dont like it being 3D ( in fact i never like 3D text) nor the colors.

I think the text is a bit too big and in-your-face. other than that, looks good!

Hm, don't like the text! It's way too big.
Decrease its size and move it to the left (so that it dosn't cover the chars). Doing that also make the bar a bit smaller.
