Well, this one is two masots. Win XP and Win 2K. It took me two days to color them in and get them where I wanted them. But here they are... any good? Yes, no? What needs to change? Oh, and the XP is NOT a hidden reference to yours truly. That was there from the word go. It's actually indicative of Win XP. ;) FYI.

ok, ill give a non-character cretique :P

I would go for more of a techy background. Have you seen xebec's windows-girl wallpaper? something like that.

Can I ask, did you colour them from a line art image and if so, where on the site was it as I seem unable to find it?

Xian Pu

No. I colored it completely from my imagination.

I believe what Pipestrell is asking, is what image did you use to color? Like, whas there a black and white line art that you used, or did you draw them free hand? And, if it was taken from an existing line art, where did you get it?

Anyway, I like the second wall better. Yes, the "techy" thing with them is the way to go, I believe.

Some comments about the coloring of the characters, however... You colored in where the whites of their eyes should be. Also, try a little bit of dodge and burning to create depth. They are rather flat. Give me a copy of the image, and I'll show you what I mean, if you'd like.

Really, though, keep it up. Quite nice. ^_~

Edit: I can't bloody type today, I swear... Please excuse any typos I missed...

Ok, it's not fully re-vamped. There's just far too much cleaning needed to be done, and I really don't have the time...heh...sorry. But, here's a before and after picture of the XP girl's face, just to give you some idea of what I was talking about with dodge and burn, and about how you miscolored the areas of her eyes. If you wanna know about how to do anything I did, just ask.

Xian Pu

Errr... teach me what you did. Seriously, how did you do that? Let me know, cause now I see what you're talking about. I mean, I know where the dodge and burn tools are and how to use them, but, not like that. Please tell me.

Okie dokie. Sunday I'll make up a little lesson thingy with pics and everything, and post it. How's that? It isn't too difficult. All ya need is some idea of how you want the thing to end up looking, and a basic grasp on how to use the tools in Photoshop. I'll teach ya a little about the tools and such, you provide the imagination. ^_~

Well, I started to play around with the burn brush and this is what I got. Is this the right direction? (the eyes)

Die Tod von Euch

Oh yes, very good. You still need to give her eyes white areas, however, for where her actual eyeball is... You know, the area around the iris...the uh..whites of the eyes... Heh. Yeah. Next you should try using the burn and dodge to give her skin depth. Use the burn for the outside area of things like her legs and such to make them look rounded. Also use the burn tool for any area that is in shadow. The dodge tool should be used on places like her cheeks and off-center thigh/arm/leg/etc. Still need the little tutorial thing, let me know and I'll make it tomorrow, as promised. ^_~

It's right above the text tool, and right next to the blur. It may not look like the burn tool. You could either see it as the sponge or the dodge tool. Just right click on it, and you can change the tool. Same with blur, and several other tools. If there is a small arrow beside the tool image, that means you can change it out with another tool.
