don't feel sorry for me, i like the english version. Why do people make such a big deal over the english and japanesse versions. their pretty much exactly the same except for diff voices and names.

well in some cases im sure your right...but in several (at least) its much more than that..major plot changes, cuts etc....methinks sailor moon is the best example of when there can be radical differences between English and Japanese versions...but to be honest i havnt seen (or wish to see) many english versions - seen enough tho...I far prefer the subbed (fansubbed for preference after seeing too many atrocious 'official' subs)...

i agree. not only diff voices and name changes. if that was all, itd be okay..but its not. Incest and homosexuality were cut off, Half of the 1st series is not even existing in english, the name has changed ( and so changed the plot putting shaolan to the same level as sakura even if he isnt) and that horrible op theme.... they tryed to americanise the series

As far as "Cardcaptors" goes, the English and Japanese versions are VERY different. Little did u know that nearly everyone in the anime was gay on the Japanese version. But, oh, our sweet american minds can't handle THAT!

this is a very shojo series originally, no one can deny that
and the manga is better, well maybe its just me but i very often like the manga better. anyway, yah the card are cool, i imported them from japan

The Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles are awesome. I have the first two volumes, and I must say, I'm very impressed.

Clamp is just wonderful. In my opinion, Card Captor Sakura, Wish, and Chobits are their best works. The drawings are beautiful.

I haven't read all of the CCS manga, but I've watched all the anime. However, I think that the manga is more complete than the anime. ^^

I saw CCS too! And i think it's cool and cute. Well, I'm pleased to see that many people adore CCS. I just hated the ending part because I wanted it to continue and know what happened next. The american dubbed version cut off SOO much of the original anime, it's become something like Pokèmon -_- They chopped off 99% of the scenes where Sakura catches up with her brother just to see Yuki...
They gave them stupid names (my poor Tomoyo!... T_T) and the voice absolutely stinks... I squirmed when the voice of the ORIGINAL Tomoyo Daidouji (IWAO JUNKO!!!!!!!) got replaced with... urgh...
and so much more it's infuriating.
I just couldn't bear to watch the english version due to so much editing.

The worst part is, they used the American names!!!! :angry:

The english version wasn't edited all that much. but when it was shown on TV it was edited further. if you get the DVD's and watch the english versions it's pretty good. And i like the voices for the english version they match up pretty well.

I'm 18 and like both CCS and Cardcaptors. But I'd just like to highlight the fact that over here in Britain all or almost all of the episodes were translated in their entirety. An example of this being (which confused me) in an American vers. during season 2/3 two episodes were combined into one, if I remember correctly it was one with a sort of attack of the string and attack of the killer bear. But in the Brit vers. both of these episodes were broadcast seperate. We also had the option due to the way the program was shown of watching either the American vers. on Nick or the Brit vers. on ITV.
The Brit vers. also had a different opening theme.

I'm a 14 year old and I just love Cardcaptor Sakura it's the best, but I was sad when it stoped!!!! And I love all the characters in it Sakura is the cutest girl ever, Shaolan is so cute, and Yue and Yukito are the Best ever!!*SO CUTE* ^__^ :]
