i think that clannad is really good there although things did go a bit fast in clannad after story and i have'nt seen the movie

I think it's very well-made,I loved it,just finnished the After Story a few hours ago,I love Tomoya,he's the perfect boyfriend/husband material...The only thing is that I like Kyou more than Nagisa,I wished they could make more than one episode featuring Tomoya&Kyou as a couple,Kyou is my fave female character after all...

Although I intend no disrespect, I have to agree in that I certainly like her better than Nagisa. She's just a little too wishy-washy for my taste; whereas Kyou is a more strong-willed individual and just more likeable in my opinion. Still, the truth in that they made that one episode shows just how many people must've wanted to see Tomoya x Kyou, at least once.

this show surprised me. Sure at its very core its a romance, but its a LOT more than that. well done characters with detailed backgrounds, comedy thats right up my alley (i swear the main character is me from highschool). my only gripe: is it just me, or does the main character ALWAYS pick the least interesting girl in these harem style animes? I mean come on! I'd be all over Kyou in a heartbeat! this is based on a visual novel right? guess i'll have to buy it so i can make sure the dude goes with Kyou haha. Every time i watch a show based on a visual novel game i end up getting the novel so i can change the story to my liking.

I just starting watching this anime, and I really like it! I have to agree the Nagisa can be wishy-washy, but I feel like her character is developing more now. The main thing I like about this anime though is the humor, I've been laughing so much!

yeah the humour in season one is amazing. season two surprised the hell out of me with how different it is. i also feel like the ending was such a cop out. deus ex machina baby! i think it would have been better if they got rid of the random miracle at the end. ushiro doesnt die and then tomoya hooks up with kyou. THAT would have been amazing since i'm a huge kyou fan and it would make sense since she's ushiro's teacher now.

i liked the tomoyo and kyou spin off episodes a lot. those two are just more my style than nagisa

Clannad is an amazing anime.

Although, I could say the first episodes were pure boredom but the last ones were truly heart-warming and tear-jerking.

"Let me take you... To a place in this town where wishes come true..."

This line is pure epic.

I adore Keys works. Clannad and Air are probablly my most favorite. However Clannad made me cry and laugh more than any other anime. Key knows how to trigger emotions and Clannad does just that. I think the afterstory was the greatest because it has more comendy and gets more in depth with the other characters in the show. Plus Ushio is in it and it explains the world of nothingness. :]

I ALWAYS reccomend this show! :]

I just watched the first series over two nights...gotta pick up the After Story and have yet to watch the movie. It was fantastic, and I agree with you guys about Kyou.

i liked the first season waaaay better than the 2nd, the 2nd seasons story starting getting out of hand with all the supernatural stuff in my opinion, but still this anime made me cry, and laugh. I suggest u watch the Clannad movie if u havent, i was crying for the last 15 min of it xD

I find the lack of posts in this thread disturbing.

Clannad, although i haven't yet gotten around to ~After Story~, is thusfar a brilliantly executed anime. I especially like the 'arc' system they've got set up, where it smoothly transitions from Fuko -> Kotomi -> Tomoyo -> Nagisa.
