Dual!

Now, please feel free discuss the wonder that is Dual. There is just something about it that is... extremely funny, yet (in my opinion at least) a bit serious.

For those who have not seen it, I'll give you a run-down of this alternate universe some rather logical, yet mental, scientist sends our lovely main character Kazuki to.

This society is basically run by the wonder that is the feminine side of the world. Only women can pilot these giant robots. And that was the way it was. Well, until Kazuki showed up on the government's doorstep. Fun, eh?

I just started watching dual on the tech tv network and I was hooked on the first episode it was very cool.

I really love Dual! I love the relationships between the charaters. And the mecha fighting in it. (Eventhough I don't usally like mecha anime!) Very funny in a "we're all going to die" kind of way. But serious in a "we have to save the world" way! Very cool! I feel like I would just die if I miss even one epiosd!! Thats how I know I've found a great anime :D

dual is good. i did like the fact that it was an AU Eva. It's a recycled idea but changed enough to make it unique in its own way.

btw, the same girl in two universes both liking the same guy cant be a bad thing

I thought duel was pretty average. It is essentally a cross between Evangalion and Tenchi Myuo. However, It dosen't possess Eva's depth, storytelling, or mystique, and it doesn't have Tenchi's sense of fun, or good characters. The only thing Duel has better than normal are the visuals. And even they arn't great.

I don't know. I was never much of a fan of Eva or Tenchi. Maybe I'm just weird like that.

well, dual wasn't exactly supposed to be a great and hard hitting anime. you could say that it's just someone's idea of a 'fan-anime' that they wanted to make.

I thought they did a good job at this tenchi/ eva parody... the suit was hillarious... and the mecha was cool too bad it they didnt come up with a second season

Iv read it, but never seen it (couse we dont have cable anymore) and Iv read that its story line has the basic of "Evangelion" and "Tenchi Muyo"

The cool thing about Dual! is the concept behind it. The first episode shows a man picking up an ancient artifact. One choice was he obeying orders and the other choice was he took it with him. That caused the Parallel Trouble Adventures. So if you did something in your life, it could have 2 VERY different outcomes.
The action is alright and the comedy is awesome. I give this series an 8/10 rating (if you care =D)
