I took a look at the web site for this forums software, and I saw the package prices. I was just wondering what is the limit to the amount of data transfer on your account. and what happens when you exceded it.

This forum's software is free o.O;

And last I heard, I think it was 300 a month with the help of the ads, that was like, two years ago though. I'm sure it's more costly now.

I was just wondering, because, I dont want to be responsable for eating up all you permitted date transfer, and then the cost going up. that would make me sad.

We currently pay around $169.00 per month for the server we have. We actually own the server that all this is on. No websites accept our websites are on this server. Break down to the $169.00 per month server:

CPU: P4 2.6 Ghz
RAM: 1gb
Disk Space: 80gb
Bandwidth: 700gb
OS: RedHat Enterprise Linux 3.0 ES

Don't worry about using our bandwidth, we place this forum out for a reason. We display banner ads as a way to get money. The banners do end up covering the total costs.

When did the costs get lower? Or is that because of the ads? Or did Kaitou not always have his own server?

may be I'm blind, but I havent seen any banners, and I have a pop up blocker? Didnt really notice them I guess

Actually, there aren't any on this site, to make it load faster.

There are on AG.net, and TM.com.

Ai, the costs went from $500 some per month to $169 because we lost four servers, remember?

Ohi ... this sucks o_O;;

And it's they're, not there =p (we're even ^_^)

Do you guys make any money at all off of this forum, and sites. or is it just a hobby? and while you are on this thread how big is too big for a signature file?
