Though at least it isn't as bad as Sesshoumaru and Kagome. That pair is like: ROTFLMAO....Sesshi'd *KILL* her before she could even say "Hi!"

Best couples IMO:

Inuyasha and Kagome: They have personalities that coincide with one another...both are rather childish in nature and can handle one another perfectly well. So-they are a logical pair. Not to mention they do get married at the end of the series.

Miroku and Sango: Come on people. These two wouldn't work with anyone else anyway. Sango is the only one who'd be able to handle and control Miroku in any way. 'Sides, no one can deny they have adorable children at the end.

Sesshoumaru and Kagura: These two are another great couple. (Even if Kagura is dead I'll still ship them) Sesshoumaru needed someone down to earth with a sense of authority and high-regalness that Kagura could have-would have pulled off perfectly well.

Naraku and Kikyou: Although proclaimed to hate one another throughout the series, they really are oddly made for each other. Kikyou, same as Sango in a sense, would be the only one who could handle and keep Naraku in line. Both are sadistic in a way and could fulfill one another like no other as well.

Kohaku and Rin: Ya don't see this pair shipped much~but I think they'd be adorable. When they're older they'd be the right ages apart to make a perfect little couple. They're both kind and share horrors of the same calibur, but together they'd be able to forget.

And-yeah...That's my ideas on the IY couples. '_'

And-they did-but there was a serious lack of trust in the relationship. Which is why Naraku was able to make them turn against one another so easily. Kikyou and Inuyasha's personalities weren't compatible anyway. Both would have been horrifically miserable if they'd stayed together as a couple...

Besides, the shikon no tama would have just swallowed Inuyasha up for making the wrong wish...Based on Kikyou's "selfish" desire to be a normal woman and for Inuyasha to be something other than what he was.

You obviously have not paid any attention to Kikyou or Inuyasha whatsoever. I agree Kags and Inu belong together, but re-read or re-watch the series. Kikyou winds up not giving much of a crap about Inuyasha and its only Inuyasha who goes after Kikyou ALL the time. Not the other way round. So if anyone gets in the F*cking way of Inu and Kags, it *IS* F*cking Inuyasha himself.
