What did you guys think of this show?

I thought it was revolutionary, a true Genre-buster.

Shows a much darker picture of what a harem anime would be in real life.

...The ending was a bit over the top though.

Dear god, I've tried to stay away from School Days. I've seen it. Played the Visual Novel it's based off. And it just made me depressed as hell. I can only stand to watch it once a year.

I thought the ending wasn't that much over the top. I saw it coming. Besides, the ending was the bad ending from one of the girls routes on the Visual Novel. I'm not sure if they made the good endings or not though.

School Days is my Favorite Anime, I just love how it looks so innocent from the start. Yeah, it truly is a realistic harem anime. I really like dark stuff I suppose, but I definitely think the ending was perfect, I mean, if it had a nice 'bright' ending, that would have been a bit of a dumb ending, especially considering the events that lead up to the ending. Also, I disagree. The ending wasn't over the top, if it wasn't completely absolute, it wouldn't have been as good.

The ending was spoiled for me, and that was the only reason why I watched it. Every character in School Days made me rage. Girls were falling over themselves for a guy who got with every female in sight.
In overwords, the last episode was satisfying.
"Soap opera" is exactly was it is. I admit I found it very interesting, how dark it became from a usual romance beginning.

i thought School Days was a good anime but the ending really really weirded me out and also i learned that i should never act like that kid, having multiple girls ever again or i might regret it

I haven't seen the whole anime yet only on about ep 6 but the lead male character is really irritating the **** out of me, I feel like killing him myself, only using and abusing women like that, even in the first ep or so when he pushed the girl against the fence like that out of rage, I don't even feel like finishing the series, but I'll do it just to see how he gets killed

It was an interesting anime. I found the ending to be kinda o_O random and out of nowhere. An unexpected twist.
Oh, and probably an anime that has one of the most hated male characters of all anime, Makoto.

But overall its a good anime. Not the best, but definitely good.

The ending was a bit much.

I didn't have the chance to watch all of it. But considering I'm picky, I didn't really enjoy it. I don't know why considering it seemed like a good idea.

i just finished episode 5 of this show....and i'm not sure what to think. its pretty hard for the series to string me along when i hate the main character haha. I have no problem with characters being stupid if its in a funny way, but when its "why did god let you fall out of your mother at k-mart" stupid i get pretty frustrated. i feel pretty bad for the shy chick, her only mistake was thinking makoto was a decent person...

I hate this anime, yet at the same time I love it, for some odd reason. I also feel sorry for Konohana, but man all those girls have a screw loose, every single one of them although my favriot was Sekai and after a while it became Setsuna and in the end it became Konohana

I'm going to stop watching the show probably, i realized that i was literally forcing my way through it and not enjoying a single second. I'm gonna get the game for sure though, give konohana the loyal makoto she deserves! (dorky, right?) Though seeing as its a hentai game its probably impossible to be 100% loyal to konohana in the plot.

i assume any website where you can import japanese games would carry it. i wonder if there's an actual english release though. sometimes these games have english already selectable in the options, too. if not there is most likely a fan-patch available. all of the interactive novel games i've played where hentai games (probably weird thing to share), and each one had english

lol all of the interactive novel games are hentai, regardless of the novels content its the only way the can make the game seemingly "fun".

well that makes sense, glad my personal taste doesnt just boil down to tits and ***! although, i'm looking into gettin the Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni game(s), and those arent hentai as far as i know. they were pretty darn popular too, so i guess not every game needs sex to sell, just the ones with rehashed school romance garbage driving the core of the plot

lol yeah but the Higurash no Naku korro ni /kai novels had actuall sotries unrelated to romance and the drama revolving around that. Almost all anime that have a hint of sexual relations in them will be made into a hentai game.

lol honestley after watching that anime I alsmot had a mental brakedown because of all the dumb girls in there, I mean if a girl comes to you and offers her virginity as "practice" for when you with your reall gf you should know something is up, and I mean where in the world would you get that a loser like Makoto could get 7 girls to sleep with him (counting the 3 that visited him) and out of the 7, 4 was inlove with him. I mean I know its fictional but there is a limit.

I don't know, I just finished it.

All I can say is that the fanservice in the first half was excessive and gross. Then the second half was more depressing, and the last episode was excessive in another way: excessively creepy.

Well personally the last episode is the only worth while episode, although the end was very sad, sounds wierd I know, but she actually loved the guy from the bottom of her heart and he got killed.

i think by that point it was something more sinister than love. previous to her mental breakdown i believe kotonoha loved makoto, afterwards it was her delusions and makoto's assholeness that drove the relationship

lol thats possibly true, but man did that guy get under my skin, and the girls they all just randomly start sleeping with the guy for no reason all of them were whores <- sorry if this is a bad word -> except Kotonoha she was so sweet from the start with no ill intentions what so ever and then the other girl bullied her that irritated me as well.

yeah i felt so bad for katsura! just a gorgeous quiet chick who gets picked on and has HORRENDOUS taste in men! no wonder her brain went bonkers in the end! I'm confused about the part where she slices open the other chick and says "there's no one inside you". So was she faking all the symptoms or is kotonoha mistaken?

also in the final episode i saw all the blood was black instead of red. is this how it was originally done or was it edited in light of the nice boat incident?

Well she didn't fake the symptoms it was just to early for anything to have appeard in Sekais stomach, so she couldn't see anything and assumed she was faking. I'm not sure about the blood part, but man was the end creepy, I'm curious though as to how she would recover from that, or if she going to the wacky shack.

realistically the police investigation would be mighty swift, seeing as how both murders were quick and messy. eventually they'd come across kotonoha and her beloved head! I hate to imagine what went on on that yacht...seeing as how katsura was open to physical activity by that point in the relationship O.o

for some reason the straight on badness of the ending and the depressing plot reminded me of when i played the bible black pc game. i cant even remember how many times i dies prematurely...at least 3 times to the same character! on top of that you had to restart each time. i cleared the game like..4 or 5 times and never got a good ending!

i hope when i play School Days its a bit less frustrating in that regard

lol haven't played the bible black games yet, but I did play dicipline and that was a wierd game, I'm with you I hope school days is better, despite the fact that all the girls were crazy I did like most of their characters excluding the parts they slept with makoto

Yeah i know , its strange sad twisted and what not , but i am a gore anime watcher and naturally have seen many strange things which are hard to explain , so ending like School days is normal for me.

yeah but the main dude is sooooooooooooooooo annoying, I'll play with him just to get him killed, I think the game should allow you to choose from all the girls or makoto, and then play different stories wich each of them, and you must be able to get it on with guys and girls (only if you play with a girl though)

well you have to disregard makoto's assholeness in the anime, because in the game whether he acts like that or not is up to you. i see no reason why you'd hate him unless the game sets it up so that he's a generally bad character no matter what (stepmother's sin comes to mind)

well its kinda hard to disregard hes behavior from the anime series, any chance I get I'll have him killed, even if hes not one in the game or whatever. I'll only have him killed once or twice before I take the game seriously and give Kotonoha the happy ending she deserves
