Does anyone out there remember an 'American anime'(oxymoron, I know), show that aired one summer as a fill-in. It aired over a six week period and was shown a month or two later in six consecutive nights. It was called 'Invasion Earth' or 'Invasion America', or something like that and featured voices of Leonard Nimoy, Michael Ironside, to name some of the more notable names. It centered around a high school kid who finds out he's the offspring of an alien/earth marrage,(sounds corny), and has to regain his place as some king or ruler or whatever,(more corny stuff), but it was actually quite serious, dark and adult, in addition to being well written and animated. You would think I'd remember what the darn thing was called and how to find it with that much detail but nope - got no clue otherwise. I think it was co-produced by a Japanese company but I've asked a few con attendee friends of mine and they came up empty. Anybody know what I'm talking about?
PS: This show was on in the summer about 6-7 years ago. Maybe on FOX?
