Should Kisuke no longer be exiled?

Hes helped out the soul society numerous times, and if it werent for him Ichigo would prob still be sitting in school.

Of course he shouldn't be. After all, the only reason he was exiled was because Central 46 or w/e thought him to be the one to hollowfy Shinji and co. It has become obvious that it was Aizen who did it, so why should be exiled anymore?

Well Soul Society has worked with him now, and the exile thing is just a formality. There'd be no point in reversing it or mentioning it, it's just one of those irrelevant things now.

On the one hand I agree. On the other hand, theirs always a chance there was stuff going on their we didnt see - and there is in fact a better reason for Kisuke to be exiled - he does play his cards rather close to his chest does he not?

But on the whole, both him and yorouichi's exiles are more or less now formal. I reckon they are actually benificial to people as they are, as they hear things people in soul society dont, and are well placed to help soul reapers on earth. That said, soul society needs more captains, so maybe the visoreds should be allowed back in - as they are similarly misunderstood I feel. In many ways they got an even rawer deal

I do see your point. I never really thought about it, but Kisuke's exile did turn out for the better. And it seems he's still able to gather more than sufficient information from soul society in order to accomplish his goals. He does seem a little shady at times, but from what I can see, he doesn't hide anything mallous. It seems Kisuke does miss being in soul society, so the least they could do is allow him back after Aizen has been taken care of, and things have been investigated more thouroughly.

Think about it this way, he gets to be a lot more free being on earth than be on Seireitei. A free agent like Ichigo. He can further help Ichigo in the things he do because he doesn't have to follow orders.
If he had gone back to Seireitei after Rukia's rescue,
could he have helped Ichigo get to Hueco Mundo?
He woundn't right, coz Yamamoto did not approved of Ichigo going to hueco mundo and ordered him personally to not go.

Plus, Yamamoto seems happy enough to have an agent outside Seireitei,
one who could get news in the living word first and directly, no one could ever fit the role unless it was Kisuke Urahara. . .^_^
