Well, Oda announced a "half-way point" a little bit after 500 chapters. If he meant that story-wise or content-wise is up to question, but at the time there was about 53 or 54 volumes published. I wouldn't be surprised if it went over 100. Actually, I think it would be great if it did. I can't see One Piece getting dull or going stale at all during that time, especially given the past 12 years of its publication.

It's just dragging on. Oda could wrap this up by Luffy defeating a pirate crew, takes his army, storms the Grand Line and finds the One Piece.

One Piece is no Kochikame and it really is getting dull now.
