There's a lot of supernatural stuff. If you want the long shonen series, I know only Dragonball / Z / GT . Otherwise, try Ergo Proxy, chrono crusade or Hellsing. Those aren't in the typical 'power-up and beat bad guy' style, but are still pretty good science-fiction/supernatural anime.

I'd say you could watch Naruto as well, but I think you've already seen that (if your avatar is any indication). One piece, is supernatural in a way. You might like that, if you like bleach.

I would check out 1 piece if you like the 'ongoing story' aspect. It is very funny, and has many episodes to keep you going. Possibly too many. All the others sound like a lot of fun too

My problem is whenever Im enjoying a good anime (like bleach) - and I know its meant to be fairly unique, that means the when it ends Im back to square one. Still at least bleach is ongoing...

I think you might really enjoy D.Gray-Man. I find it to be a cross of FMA + Bleach. >> Anyways, it's also one of those never-gonna-end anime/manga

D. Gray-man, Deathnote, Soul Eater are my guess. If you like the sword fighting in the anime, try something like Samurai Deeper Kyo

Yeah, One Piece is also my thought for an anime that gives off a similar air of awe-inspiring over-powered characters who have to triumph over insanely powerful enemies like themselves. One Piece also has a good mix of humor like Bleach (Bleach being the more serious one), but not as solid of a storyline. One Piece is more about disjointed story arcs, but still has an underlying overall plot.

Another one that gives off a similar kind of feel to it as Bleach is Gintama. I simply love that series in every way. It's so funny, yet sometimes so moving and inspring. It's just a powerful anime in my eyes. And they pull off stunts that other animes would never think of. :D
