Shaman king is a really great anime to watch if your in to ghosts, shamans, and necromancy.

But i never really got to watch it that much. =[

so i have heard that zeke became the shaman king insted of yoh. that sucks. but anyways.....

Who do you guys think should have been the shaman king and why?

Zeke = Hao?
I watced the Japanese version.
I think Hao would've been better as a leader even though he was a bit evil-ish.
I haven't read the manga, so I don't know much else about him except through the anime.
Yoh's nice and all, but is a bit too laid back for the title, I feel (I say that even though I prefer Yoh to Hao).
X)

Yup, zeke is hao. They changed all the names, well, most of it anyway. Horohoro-Trey Racer?!

Anyway. what basically happened was yeah, hao got shaman king, but its only for 500 years, then yoh took over and became shaman king. And anna achieved her dream lol.

The manga is incomplete, so is the anime.

Yoh's still alive after 500 years?!
Crazy.
XD

Man, the names sound kinda lame in English.
Don't like dubs.

First paragraph is not true. The is incomplete, but the anime isn't. At least until we get news of a new Shaman King series (a la Full Metal Alchemist) or and OVA-sequel-thingy.

No.

Op, if you don't want to be spoiled and read/watch the series, don't read. If you don't care, go right ahead.

Anime end: Hao disregards the Shaman Fight and takes the Great Spirits as his own. He fights Yoh and "dies". Things get to a moot point because a Shaman King wasn't elected through the conventional mean (the Shaman Fight). Everybody goes back home, and in the last shot of the episode we see the Virtual Oracle's screen turning on. It's believed that the Great Spirits decided to have another Shaman Fight.

Manga "End": In the manga, Hao won and became the Shaman King. But Yoh and co. still want to stop his plans and there's where it finishes.

Like it has been mentioned, the manga was forced to end due to low popularity and that's why whe don't have a definitive conclusion. But...

A flier handed out at Jump Festa 2008 announced a Kanzenban reprint of the entire series. This came due to the slew of fans wanting a true ending to Shaman King. The Japanese publisher Shueisha has officially announced that Shaman King would return in March 2008 as Shaman King Kanzen-Ban, or Perfect Edition. This release will reprint the entire series in 27 volumes complete with new clear image overlays on the covers while concluding with the never-before-published "true ending." Two volumes of the manga are being released each month with the final volume expected to be released in Spring of 2009.

So, this year will get the official conclusion.
